MBS Matrix iii (3) discussion

@MBS jeez Louise dude…

What did you guys put on the 420 truck axles.

I need to swap axles and hangers around to get more width…

The trucks are saying no…

If you have an impact gun it might be good to invest in an allen driver set for it. While the tool can still break, I have better luck with not breaking things using an impact than just straight torque.

You definitely need to use a blow torch to break the Lock Tight free. If you are breaking allen wrenches, the Lock Tight needs a lot more heat. It’s a pain to change axles on Matrix 3’s, but IMO, it is worth it.

This…

I I’m going to do hardware store to get a big torch.

I’m not cooking these things nearly enough with my little torch…

We can stop being cutesy now…

Well. Good news kids

I don’t have to keep taking axles off…

Because I can’t put the 70mm axles in the 320 hangers I have…

DIY is such a disease…

woah they changed the axle design for the new cnc trucks?

@MBS any way to go wider than the 420s???

I ordered my 3rd set of Matrix III and slapped Singularitys on there.

And with the 9 inch mudpluggers my size 11 feet keep rubbing in the back.

@mbs can you confirm that if I order 4 of the 70mm axles they will be the short thread version shown online and not the long thread axle that came in my 420s

I expect cutting the extra thread off of my axles would be really hard right?

Not hard with an angle grinder and thin cutoff disc.
