MBS Matrix iii (3) discussion

Tests came out pretty good on the MBS stock bushings, meaning it’s not worth the effort producing your bushings ?

I don’t think that’s the testing he’s referring to.

I think he’s referring to his testing of Singularity bushings designed and tested by riptide.

I read this to mean that due to the testing success of a single specialized riptide bushing for each truck (singularity bushings) riptide has no reason to look into developing another product with individual toe side and heel side bushings for the M3s

No, we have developed a single bushing to replace the bushing pair that comes in the Matrix III that greatly increases the usable range of the trucks for a better carve, deeper lean with enhanced agility and stability.

If all goes well, we can likely produce before ESK8CON 2025.

Who makes the best motor mounts and motor clamps for the Matrix III?

I see these, are there others?

and

Radium makes some pretty sweet ones, OOS though.

I see M-boards also has a single component solution:

I have the Radium Matrix 3 mounts. They are works of art and they are super easy to adjust. I put them on my Lacroix a year ago and the mounts have not moved 1mm since I installed them.

If you have a choice, go with the Radium Mounts IMO. You will not be disappointed.

I remember the matrix ii had tolerance issues on exactly where that threaded hole was located on the truck and made it somewhat difficult for some drive systems to work properly without carefully stacking/packing the axle and/or packing pulley off wheel/setting motor pulley off motor.

Not sure how much the tolerances have been tidied up on matrix iii but just something to note.

If the tolerance on the location of those holes along the width of the hanger is good, seems like one of the better ways to attach a mount

@IDEA has several options
