PM incoming.
I can confirm that Metroboard motor is likely 110Kv if it came from a dual diagonal setup. 90Kv from a Shortboard.
This was for a single drive short board.
If I recall it correctly it was an āupgradeā for higher top speed.
I noticed the mounting holes are funkyā¦
I think those were made by ShenZhen Saite Motor Co., Ltd.
Besides changing the axle clamps a couple other ideas have popped in my mind.
I have to build a battery for this. I still have to buy the cells, yada yada. So itās a ways away.
So I want to strap a temporary battery on top to try it out.
Iām excited about the possibility of rolling on it before I get a battery together.
My other thought is to try to pick a motor that is quiet.
The Reacher for example has this annoying vibration sound that makes it sound oldā¦
And possibly the lighter 6374 Flipsky may be a screecher.
So I think I also want to make a bench set up.
Parsec designer/engineer here (didnāt see that coming did ya). That name is diabolical

Loving the build. I approve. My favourite build out of all the boards that Iāve ever electrified is probably the Bustin Sportster. Itās just such a nice little platform. The Aeroās deck is a fusion between a Sportster, a trip that I used to practice LDP on, and Danās Prana.
The ideatb mounts also are some of my favourite parts Iāve used in DIY builds. The angles and the cohesiveness of that design just looks insane. Also the angle you have them mounted looks almost like an Aero which I love lmao
I agree with @dinnye on the low kv part. Weāre using 130kV to get the most ommph out of the tiny cans, enough to get my 100kg fat ass easily up any hills. Also allowed us to run a super efficient setup.
I wonder whatās the weight of your build rn?
Awesome!!!
I sent Daniel a message on Instagram with the name⦠I still think it is so funny.
I donāt have a final weight yet.
I need to build my little 12S1P pack and devise and enclosure before I can get an idea on weight.
The Bustin is so good. Such great foot pockets.
I was looking up the little motors you guys used and looks like 2 of them weigh 970 grams.
So I will come under the weight if I go to 6374. Under the power I think so too.
As of this hour Iām leaning on the 6374 140kv motors.
Also I have to ask⦠you guys should donate a set of trucks to this buildā![]()
Our trucks wonāt fit anything other than a pair of 5250s.
1WD is definitely the way to go if you wanna reduce cost and weight, but as people here obviously already know, braking and accelerating will suck.
I like to have some skateboard like set ups. And I think single drive is good for that.
Definitely a compromise in power, but I love the feeling of light boards and the freeroll.
The little longboard is for the little guy.
Ok.
I need to get back to dealing with the death mounts.
I looked at different things. The BN XL clamps are huge and would need all kinds of modification.
I clamped the old BN hanger with the stuck Idea clamps to the bench, but decided not to tackle it.
I looked at using the BKB axle and plates. But the plates donāt spark joy like the TB ones do.
I looked at the Titoās plates again too, and itās the same story. Something would need modified
I decided Iām going to revisit the BN single clamp.
You can see the original hole⦠makes me feel like Iām making all this harder than it is to move the motor up.
I think a solid 15% of my DIY experience is taking pulleys off.
Really hoping not to destroy these new onesā¦
Today I lost the battle.
I donāt understand why such basic shit is hard for me after all these years.
I torched it with the little torchā¦
I used Wera Plus hex key.
I still managed to strip both of the set screws on the pulley.
The pulley is already destroyed. But worse of all it is still there.
Moving on to try and drill out the grub screws.
Kids that buy a shinny new Parsec will never understand my pain ā¦
Holy bananas dude.
What a detour.
This picture here really captures this classic āDIY is a Diseaseā moment!!!
Dude, that torch is a joke for jobs like thisā¦
Get a blowtorch similar to this. I think I paid around 30$ for this oneā¦
It makes this job so much easier, you wouldnāt even believe. I torch it until the loctite starts smoking (30-60 sec depending on size) and then it slides right off with very little effort.
You know. I have a bigger torch.
I looked for it. I could not find it in my messy garage and I just now remembered it is in the basement.
I have had success with the little one plenty in the past.
But obviously it has left something to be desired.
Bit torch it is from now onā¦
My mate designed this
I mean it wouldnāt help here since the motor mount is attached, but just in case you want a better pinion puller instead of using a generic bearing removal tool
That is nice but the chunky part on the bottom woul make it not usable for most of my situationsā¦
I wish all motor mounts had the slit to just slide outā¦
