Linnpower racing slicks

Yeah if I were to run the 90 mm ones I’d definitely need spacers and longer hardware, even with the 70mm ones my hubs seem a little bit too narrow.

Will work on it after ESK8con.

Do you know when it’s going to be released? I am pretty excited to try them. Right now I am running about 208x94 slicks (CP about 80-85mm), but I either need a smaller diameter or a larger gear ratio, as my top speed is way too much and I would rather trade it for more torque. Going down in wheel diameter is the much simpler option. Plus these tires probably have a better formula for racing.

I don’t know but I can chat with Linn about it at ESK8con.

Ironically, the wider BRP tires are actually more slippery than the 3’s until they reach operating temp

It will be interesting to get feedback on the wider Linnpower racing slick. The rubber used is super gummy and sticky.

there are a couple people that are gonna be racing on em in Vegas so should have quite a bit of feedback in the next two weeks

My feedback is its the grippiest thing I’ve raced on besides BRP. I think the grip level is close to 3 inch BRP, but I won’t find out until after esk8con when I get mine, and make adapters for BN drives

One of my rear tires started developing some tears in the center due to the high traction. They’ve been through three track sessions so far, totaling around 70 miles.

From riding other boards with brp’s?

Yeah I’ve tried a couple stooges and a DIY with them, didn’t put in enough time to actually make them slip though.

They do behave differently, the one thing about BRPs is that they always feel so planted, I think due to 0 sidewall deflection, and the width

Id be super impressed if they hung on as well as the brp’s. Waiting to see how @Tasventouras goes t-racing them. That’ll tell the real story.

I agree I can’t wait to hear what he thinks

Got some good weather today, went for a quick test ride.

These are pretty grippy, moreso than the qind 200x75s I had on before for sure. I had another video with actual cornering but the file Is too big to upload.

Man that’s spinning like you’re on ice… what volts/amps are you running through those motors?

the better question is how much he weighs :joy:

i think he’s lighter than me?

i’m 120 fully clothed

140 motor amps at 16s, also 5.5 gear ratio. It’s a lot of torque for my 110 pound self
