What range do you get with 12s2p 30q? Also how are they on trails? Or need a knobby type of tire?

12s1p 21700 48g 80kg rider tested 18.5km range,20km/h crusing

4.8A current seems really low

With a lot of off road (trail) riding the range is ±12Km. With normal gravel or pavament roads I think 15km should be possible.

So is the max recommended size to go a 12s1p with 21700 cells or a 12s2p with 30q?

I think the only limite is the space you got

Yeah that’s what I’m asking how big of a pack you can go

12s2p 18650 for max range

Maybe not the safest but if you get a long wire runing between both compartments through the rail you could add some extra sells next the vesc.
Not sure it would be worth the hassle, but it’s an option

I remember someone did this on a loaded vanguard build. He had an extra P pack in the esc enclosure.

You could easily double stack 18650.
You should be able to do two rows of 9 double stacked and get a 12s3p in there. Not entirely sure about bms though. I’m going to print the battery box later and see what I can fit without having to create my own.

Is that @Enginir kit?

Yes it is.

that’s cool to know. i was wondering how much i could fill it. 12s3p makes me kinda thirsty

Wonder if a 12s2p 40T pack would fit if the cells are staggered (hex) instead of directly double stacked. Or could shim the bottom aluminum plate down slightly.

shipped those today, gonna build more footpads tonight and ship out second batch of cnc
