You don’t really notice the difference in Trucks. I didn’t have a second set of those Boardnamics hangers.

I have used Lush Machine for years now BEST DECK EVER!!

outlaw is pretty much the closest I can find,

the kick is a little smaller

build quality on the outlaw is stunning

not really a down hiller at all, but I love kicktails. Totally different than beating ass.

Amazing photos, thanks.
I’m already regretting not putting the outlaw on the final…

Hey man stay outta my local honey hole.

J/k I found my winners there already, but I am looking for a good spare. Is there anything consistently available that you don’t need to have a wishlist for and randomly search all the time? Has corona made this extra shitty, or we are a tiny market?

I messaged neversummer and begged for a super freak batch. Anything is possible i suppose.

We are niche AF! hell there’s only like 3-5000 of us globally. I for one like getting things that are unobtainium and making my projects one of a kind. Its half the fun for me.

Yeah my withdrawn post was stumbling on the madrid boards I didn’t notice them posted above. They look awesome but everything out of stock and then they won’t ship the nessie to me anyways. It seems like everyone stopped shipping to canada recently. :mask:

Feel you bro… would like to get my hands on a good deck and custom enclosure which would be available for some time though…

Do we really need an enclosure very specific to a deck? What about something good for 12S6p 21700, 22-24"wb, 9.5" wide double stack with some concave tolerance? Like the Jet Spud 29" Ds but 40t so a bit higher and remove the drop down at the back to make it more square. Not sure if that leaves room for much but it seems doable especially with a 24” wheelbase.

On principle I would say these boards deserve first class builds and custom enclosures go along.

That being said I understand your question and I think it depends on the deck.
If it’s just some concave I agree that a good fiber glass generic enclosure can work very well if it has the right measurements. But if it’s a deck like the Lush Machine 3D, for example, you definitely need a custom enclosure:

I must have put a mile height of foam on the front there…

I found it awesome what you did in your build with that enclosure. I’m absolutely with you in there: more height to allow double stack of 21700 and remove that drop down at the back. Also think it could be a bit longer

We just mentioned great decks with around 25.75’’ (~65 cm) wheelbase . From my experience we need at least 10 cm between the inner truck holes and the enclosure wall. With that it is possible to install for example a gear drive with the motors inward, plus 6 or 7’’ tires. With this setup one can have enough gear reduction and ride offroad, in my opinion even better than with a MBS…

I think we can shoot for a [10|12S]8P with 21700 cells using one of these 38’’ long 25ich wb decks.

That’s what I’m aiming at here. It would be epic to have a long range variant using one of these legendary decks.

If there is enough demand maybe eboosted would be interested to start a new “legendary downhill semi generic enclosure” project?

Thank you it was a lot of work and I’m so anxious to go ride that build lol. So if we’re talking 25.75"wb - 4" for clearance gives us the 21.75" max length which is 1.25" longer than the jetspud 29". I didn’t realize there would be mounting issues having an enclosure that close to wb with belts. With the right tweaks the jet spud (my only reference point) , for a 12s6p 21700 its an extra 0.78" in length vs 18650. So we should be pretty golden for length fitment accounting for an esc like spintend but only 2wd. The problem would be width on a 12s 21700 thats extra 1.4" so deck would need to be like 10.25" wide or 10s only. I don’t think an 8P will happen (maybe 7p) with these space constrictions. Maybe my math is wrong, it’s late and visualizing this also without cutouts and if that works is difficult. That lush machine presents an interesting problem and a generic solution for $2K+ builds seems less than ideal if the fitment needs all kinds of adapters and foam tape jank. Flex batteries are great but kill space efficiency. That’s where I’m like :man_shrugging: all I have is requirements and let the enclosure builders build haha.

Hmm looking at the subsonic century 40" ds as a reference, it fits 12S8p on a 28.5"wb and 9.75 width, so maybe we could squeeze 12S7P 21700

I was thinking of a battery layout that instead of 3 rows like yours had only 2 rows. The P groups would be 2 x 4 (double stack of 21700). In terms of width that would work for sure. In terms of length it would be a bit more than (5 x 21) = 350 mm (for a 10S).

Assuming an enclosure inner length of 500 mm we would have roughly 15 cm left for VESC + BMS + cables.

Would that be enough?..
