Looks great man! good stuff!! I’m currently waiting on subsonic to send me a century 40 with an eboosted enclosure as well. Seeing the nice and snug fit of your loopkey mount makes me realize I may have ordered one too large to fit the enclosure :frowning: Looks like I’ll have to source a more narrow one.

Gosh, it rides like dream! On to the next build!

What did you use to cut the loop key hole in the enclosure

FYI people. If you like what you see make sure to hit @Skyart up who now build boards on commission :+1:t3::ok_hand:t3:

Looks good brother

Nice! You can get somewhat precise cuts if you brace the blade against something flat.

yeah, and i had that enclosure in a vice with some rags on both sides of it, what ever you are cutting needs to be held pretty rigid in place.

Big thanks to @Skyart

This gangster ride is in its way to me in Tennessee.

It’s been a wild ride the last few weeks. I went from looking at buying something really cheap to something cheap like a meepo. From there I started looking at some of the AT boards, such as ownboard’s and a few others. Once I realized that there was this whole niche of home builders, I knew that was what I needed to do.

I almost pulled the trigger on a BKB kit, but I knew that I really wanted a longboard. It was at that point that I decided to pick up something cheap to hold me over while building something nicer. I reached out to @Skyart through reddit about his meepo v3 that was for sale. I thought about trying to grab that for a ride while building my custom. We exchanged a few messages and decided that my area to ride and my size was not ideal for hub motors.

@Skyart offered to help me gather parts for a build and then also mentioned that this build was underway. Initially I wasn’t too interested because I really wanted to build something. I mentioned this concern and Artem was more than happy to help me decide on parts and even offered to sell me a spot welder and the small parts to build a battery. A one stop shop for putting something custom together.

After looking through the build list options and crunching numbers, I decided that it didn’t make sense to build it myself. I needed something to ride now, and knew it was going to take some time to gather parts and then learn to build a battery.

It was hard to relinquish the reigns, but so far very glad that I did. We started the conversation 9’days ago and I decided on this setup the next night. A week later and the board is on its way to me. I asked a ton of questions and Artem was happy to answer and drop knowledge that I didn’t know I needed.

I’ll still build a board or two, but I’ll be riding in style while I work.

For now, I plan to ride the dog shit out of this one. If only @sender had already skinned it with some Grateful Dead imagery I would definitely be the coolest Dad cruising the block.

Pro rookie, its thanks to amazing people like you that I can build anything lol  really, if it wasn’t for you and all those long nights trying to program a vesc…wouldn’t have been possible lol.

You might want to increase this value, especially since it’s not for yourself. The Samsung 40T are rated at 6A standard charge, so you can definitely go up to -24A and be within datasheet limits. But if I were you I’d set it to -48A because 2x the rated limit is still okay for our application.

Think he means -20 per side

If it’s per side, then his 80A battery x 2 = 160A is too much from that pack :grimacing:
