Starting a new build. This will be a very different build for me, mostly because I am not trying to cram as many batteries into a build as possible, this is going to be more on the lighter side. Because of the aggressive drop on the Century 40, a single stack enclosure is pretty much the only possible enclosure for it. Board will ride very low and very stable. Have not decided on the drivetrain yet. I have a nano drive and some 150kv motors that I think will be great on this build. The 3Dservisas nano drive comes with a 1:2.6 gear ratio. In my opinion the lower 150 kg motors with bergs and 6×2s will deliver a good balance or torgue and speed. Just started on this, so there is not much to report. Will update as the build progresses.
This will turn out great I’m sure! I’m planning something similar with the SS drive and urbans instead, but you’ll have the option to swith to thane when you’re hungry for some torque!
I was worried about drilling 20 holes lol, seems overkill to me, but the enclosure came with 20 perfectly spaced sharpie marks on it!! Lol! I think alan went the extra mile on this one
13s is a real odd voltage, I dont have a bms for it or a charger. Also this is not a board for me, I will likely be selling it when I finish building it. Trying to get my nephew into the esk8 game. But if he doesnt want it, will sell here first and then probably Ebay and what not
@sesat lol! I though I was replying to your PM, anyhow, yeah, also 13s is really pushing the limits our 60v rated Escs, many have done it successfully, but I don’t know that it’s worth the risk
Looking for creative ways to route phase wires, you guys got any ideas? I have tunnel risers, now just concerned about transition between tunnel riser and enclosure
I can send you my 12s2A charger and a Bluetooth bms.
My build wont be ready for some time so i can order a new bms
and the 13s charger i wont need anymore (secrets projects to come)
just gonna say my charger will do 20A up to 22s :o
