40t can do 35amps?

So his pack can do 140amps and he set to 160 so not that far off

Also I doubt he will ever even attempt to pull 80amps per motor

its a Dual controller, small flipsky 6.6, i feel 20 amps regen is a good value, in either case doubling that wont make a huge difference on wh gained. I will however play around with this on my next personal build and see what info i can get from meter. 80 AMPs is for the total. Everyone here is aware of flipsky reputations, i know the pack can handle more, but can the controller? just playing it on the safe side. Also 80 amps is a lot of juice! takes me up a very steep long him at 35 mph.

I was just thinking that a higher regen value could be useful when braking in an emergency situation. But good on you for limiting the discharge at 80A, I also doubt the ESC could handle more.

Update time. I’ve had to rename the board to Lazy Lightning. A nod to my obsession with The Grateful Dead. Both kids and all four pets bear a name inspired by the boys. The lyrics are pretty spot on for a rip on an esk8.

Four rides and 70-80 miles in and I’ve made some changes. Swapped out the Boardnamics hangers in lieu of the Torqueboard CNC hangers and motor mounts. Installation was a breeze and getting everything aligned was smooth. Still need to work out slightly stiffer bushings as it starts to search over 30mph. To date, I’ve only taken it up to the speed below, but still learning. I’m keeping as much weight as I can on the front end but still gets awfully sketchy.

I’ve only taken the battery down to 40.7V and that ride was 18 miles and 3300ft of elevation gain/loss. Should have no issue doing 20+ miles on a charge.

Planning on racing the community for the stormcore 60D when the time comes. Otherwise, going to keep blasting this MFer.

Based on advice from Brad at Rip Tide I swapped the front bushing cups for flat washers and noticed increased a surprising amount of maneuverability. The green 93a’s that came stock seem to be fine for even my weight.

Not sure if it’s the @torqueboards trucks or @RipTideSports bushings on the Century from @Bradley, but this thing is crazy stable for a beginner. To be able to consistently cruise at high 20s with bursts into the 30s says a lot for this set up. I’m a total newb on boards but now totally obsessed.

One last shout out to @Skyart for getting me set in the right direction with the hobby.

Have a metr on order but due to shipping delays beyond control the eta is unknown at this point. Thanks to this great community I have a second one that will be here this next week. Thanks @Sn4Pz for helping me and getting one in my hands sooner.

Today’s agenda is to ride it to the bottom of the tank and then change remotes. I have a VX2 Pro to install. I’ve downloaded the vesc tool and pretty sure I understand what needs to be done. Will update my success or failures when I get it done.

Is this your first time opening the enclosure? Will be good to see how much dust, is entering it if any at all. And through where

I have some 35d that should help with stability but only in black.

Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to give it a try. Is that something I can order off the website? I don’t think I’ve found it. I have an order for a 4a 12s charger to TN sitting out there that we might be able to combine.
