it’s been like a year, should i update firmware? i think it’s still running 5.3, not sure.
Motor controller firmware is not a personal computer operating system. Unless you added some hardware thing that isn’t supported, or have some other reason to update it, then you should leave it alone.
Trampa saying they need you to update just because a new version exists you to be an unpaid beta tester risking your own skin and machine for their gain – is definitely NOT a reason to upgrade.
If you need to change the firmware, you will know, and will have a reason. Absent that, the answer is always no.

Is my Stormcore done for? I am getting a DRV fault immediately when I boot my 100D. It was working great until half way through a ride it randomly faulted, and never recovered. It wasn’t even warm. Any ideas? My best guess is vibrations caused something on the board to come loose/stop working.
I mean the firmware or my 100dx was a bit buggy with traction control under heavy breaking, and at the time people were blowing up their 100dxs so the question is really are 100dxs any less shit on a newer firmware not should i try a new firmware just for fun.

That would be a legitimate reason then to try something else, definitely. Just as long as you’re not doing it “because VESC Tool suggested it” or “because it’s old”. But I don’t have 100dx so IDK about that part

I had 6.0 on mine. Then again, it just broke, but I don’t really know if I can reccomend it for sure or not. Was working great for awhile though.
Does anyone have any ideas how I could fix it? I’m a little afraid to open it up, but I have a feeling thats what I need to know.
I’d appreciate any help or words of advice! I don’t really want to spend $400 on a new one right now 
I’m bumping this, once again asking what firmware versions people are successfully running on the 100dx?
I have not upgraded and I’m still getting shaking under heavy breaking. I want to know If I can go above 6.0 without killing it.

Having an issue with one motor kinda hiccuping periodically. Not enough to throw me but check these ah drawn numbers. I switched to a new skp reacher and still getting similar numbers. Anyone have similar experience? Any ideas?

The PCB looks pretty legit. Even includes the NRF module. The caps and fets all check out too, this looks like the real deal.
Pic shows 60d version, not the plus. Wonder if it has the busted uart port and bad thermal readings too.
