Yeah, sorry guys. Screw up on my part I pinned out uart 3 twice instead of uart 2 & 3. Future batches will have this fixed. You could technically run i2c out of the 8 pin and uart out of the side port but not many accessories use i2c.
are you saying i cant ever use my extra uart ports?
Yes, thatās what it sounds like, on already-manufactured units.
yep. mistakes happen, but none the less, this is incredibly disappointing.
Been waiting to install my OSRR for so long and now i cant

Time to go 4wd!
Yeah this kinda sucksā¦
Are UART splitters reliable?
Iām not counting on it to keep me alive
Well thatās unfortunate.
So wouldnt our units be considered defective? Mine has never been powered on
Well, thatās not for me to say. Iād personally not consider it as a defective unit. But it does lack a key feature

Damnā¦
Thats screwed me! Have been waiting for that second UART port! Only one port on a dual controller
Early adopter stuff.
Yeah I hear you guys, I spent a couple days investigating emulating a port or something but there is quite a bit of overlapping resources with timers etc regarding any of the plausible uart emulation examples from ST. If you do straight bit banging without dma I think it is not feasible since the mcu is already juggling a lot of other tasks.
Just for my own info can you guys list which uart accessories you plan to use?
Is this issue a physical problem that can be rewired/rerouted to function?
