Pics or it didn’t happennnnn

Probably didn’t happen. @BuildKitBoards seems content to ignore segments of the market they’ve soiled, and move on.

A lot of nice stories, and no substance.

No, atleast not for us. But at the same time i dont think its bkb responsible to pay for Jason’s mistake.

They are responsible for doing what they said they would do.

There weren’t many people who reached out to BKB and said they didnt receive theirs from Enertion. Off hand, there were two people that we sent them to and one of them was from this forum IIRC.

It seems a bit odd that you would advertise the ā€œEnertion reparationsā€ as a feature of your new Xenith, but not advertise the way in which these people could be added to a list for a donation.

I imagine there’s hundreds of people that got screwed. It’s pretty convenient to say they just didn’t get in contact and throw your hands up.

Is there a link or a form on the website to get added to the donation list?

Nope, just people who DMd or emailed

It was mainly for forum members anyway, which is where it was posted.

Does this mean BKB is dropping the Xenith altogether, or just in prebuilts?

Altogether

The wires between the receiver and the ESC are not the reason why that remote was disconnecting it’s very disingenuous to say that was the reason.

I’d be surprised if they stopped selling the xenith. I suspect they’ll keep it available as a performance upgrade, or something similar.

Moving to lingyi has gotta be a good move for increasing margin, and decreasing time spent fielding customer support emails. Plug and play lingyi is probably a more fun user experience for the average BKB builder.

It does make me a little sad though. The BKB duo was my first baby step to legit DIY, and I learned a ton about VESC. I didn’t even know how to solder a few years ago

They had some pretty brutal QC issues, so I’d be less surprised. Really no reason to buy these anymore given what Maker-X is dropping these days.

Setup, yes. Riding, no.

So at this point is the voyager discontinued?

i would say so because they no longer have a use for the voyager remote since i would assume that the signal coming off the voyager remote is not directly compatable with the ling yi esc and if it is than that is impressive all they mentioned is they worked with spintend to use their stock ubox remote with the spintend but we know that the lingyi remote is not the same as the spintend one the shell case is the same but the signal and electronics are not so i would assume that the voyager wont work with the ling yi esc

If someone really wanted we could still prob get them from Taobao for a little while

I enjoy being able to see on my remote how fast I’m going when I plow through a busy NYC intersection because my remote disconnected and I lost control.
