IDEA - Deck with Brackets

Thanks, mate! I’ll need some time to recover, but hopefully, everything will go well.

I have a question—one of my customers ordered baseplates for Stooge 3-link trucks from me and is very happy with the setup. Now, he wants to use the same baseplates on SRB 3-Link Trucks from Meepo. Does anyone know the thread type for the spherical joint on the axle and the rods?

So far, I have used 5/8"-18 for the spherical joint and 1/4"-28 for the rod ends. Does Meepo use the same thread sizes, or is it a metric standard?

I must make such threads in these adapters.

With Meepo 3-links, the sizes will be metric. I will check with my sources and get back to you.

Due to my upcoming break, all prices are 25% off – only until the end of February! :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for the information about the threads. So, it’s a mixed standard – M6x1 metric rods and a spherical joint in an imperial standard, with the same size as in Stooge axles.
Once again, thanks for your help!

Is it possible to put a 12s4p battery in this deck?

Probably not unless you have great skill with thick gasket making, and sacrifice a ton of clearance

Absolutely possible. You can fit a lot more if you’re handy with enclosure design.

If your vesc will fit under the brackets, 12S4P is more than doable with a SS and minimal gasket. If you go up to the eboosted MS or DS enclosure, even more.

No problem at all if you use a DS (double stack) enclosure.

Any chance you’re going to do another run of Double Deltas in the near future?

Hi friend, I actually already have a battery ready and a DV6s esc + using them on a Hurricane Carbon deck, but thinking about changing decks and transferring the configuration to a new deck, I wonder if it will work! ,

Another question, friend, with this deck am I obliged to use your trucks, or can I continue with my savage1.?

Approximate Battery Dimensions:
Length: 18.13" (465mm)
Width: 6.88" (175mm)
Thick: 1" (25.4mm)

I’m currently on vacation and not able to check anything at the moment. I’ll be back to work the day after tomorrow and will get back to you then.

Seem it will fit, you can ask me more cad stuff until he returns from his vacation

Ok , If I take this deck and sand it, will it have a wood tone? Can I remove all the carbon?

There’s actually more to it than just the outer carbon layer. Underneath the clear protective film on top, there’s a carbon fiber layer, and below that, a layer of fiberglass as well. So it’s not just one layer you’d be removing.

I don’t think it’s a great idea to take all of that off — it could slightly weaken the structure of the deck. Unless you plan to use a stiff enclosure, in which case you can experiment a bit more freely, since the enclosure would add structural support and help stabilize everything.

Do you have CAD files of the x-drop brackets? Would like to get my hands on them and work it for another deck i got

Just joined on here and on the hunt for my race build. Are your x-drop brackets on track to be in stock? Particularly the black 40mm-drop set
