IDEA - Deck with Brackets

quote=“IDEA, post:429, topic:69088”]
here the mounting is the same as the previous version
[/quote]

Interested about the second version. Your previous mounts are meant for rear mounting of the motors only, this one is for front mounting, right? Total lenght of the mount? Motor holes: possible to mount racerstar 5045? Price for a pair hanger + mounts for surfrodz tkp truck non
anodized?

The newest mount will work for both front and rear, but it is short, so in the case of some trucks there may be a collision with the hanger (depending on the type of truck).
I’ll check out some configurations and post pictures

The mount is designed for 63xx motors, but I will think about a version for 50xx, but I have to modify the design because the pattern of holes in 50xx motors is different, so the overall length will be different.

The price of this version of the motor mounts will be cheaper.
Previous version $100 per set (2 pcs), sold only in pairs
The latest short mount is $35, or $70 for 2 pieces - in silver version (raw aluminum) and $76 for a black set of 2 pieces.

For EU customers the price will be 23% higher.

No adapters, mounting the base plate directly to the deck

An idea for hangers other than the currently produced 260, 220 and 180 mm for hub motor
I am considering 2 new widths, 150 and 180mm

I printed 180mm hanger to see how it would look

I’m glad you like this idea

@Ac53n suggested another idea to me: to make a double-sided hanger so that the clearance under the board could be increased after turning the hanger 180 degrees.

This is a small modification that increases the configuration possibilities of the hanger.

Gonna add the footnote that flipping the hanger should also change the effective steering feel, with a similar result to changing the rake on an RKP truck.

150 and 180mm hangers , they are prototypes made of plastic but I think I will make such aluminum ones

They are narrow so not very suitable for building an electric board.

Double-sided 150mm hanger mounted on the smallest deck I have, unfortunately I don’t have the small wheels as well, I sold them all

Changing the hanger configuration takes approximately one minute

If you mount hub motors to them and can extend the wheelbase even further than usual thanks to the geometry changes you’ve done, I think they can definitely be used for an electric board

Though probably best to only produce them on an individual order basis. I don’t know many people running DIY hub motor boards

These types of parts are made to individual order,
The interest in Surf-Rodz TKP trucks has already passed, I think I’m the only person in the world who does this right now

The second thing is that the hanger for hub motors must have a different type of axle or a socket for a square axle, so I would have to modify them a bit

Those 150s are screaming for a single motor build like @Linny just built

With a small type 5065 motor  ???

A more elegant option would be to mount small hub motors

How small are those wheels? I have some small hub motors i can sell

These are 100 mm BOA wheels

Mounts for 50xx and 63xx motors are ready. The adjustment range is 60-68mm. Tomorrow I will write a list of the types of trucks they will be compatible with.
