i was more thinking of a “never buy a pack again” standpoint, but upon further consideration it might be good from a sales standpoint, or at least condensing labor.
how long does soldering a battery pack usually take?
10s4p with 3 14awg wires per series
Agreed. But good marketing can make any idea seem great.
Personally though, I think modular packs are a great idea.
Lol it depends on how proficient are, why don’t you just do it and find out
Yeah i’ve made a few modular packs. As Mooch says, it adds in size and complexity but it’s really not all that bad if you’re clever about it.
It does add a lot more potential points of failure though, which is definitely something to consider.
indeed I have made smaller packs that turn into 12 or 18s;any-p pack
at least 2
I am making my week schedule and I want to add spot time slot for the making my battery.
Don’t worry I wont rush to Finish it I just want to make time in the week to start.
Just start and if (when) you don’t finish then continue at a different time.
that’s what I plan on doing I just wanted a ball park number, like is it going to take 5 hours or like 30min?
Also thank you to everyone for your amazing advise!!!
First battery? Budget at least 10 hours.
Depends how fast you are
just for the soldering?
Oh, yeah I should probably read.
2-3 hours if you’re gonna take it slow and make sure everything is alright
also if people can send pictures of 10s4p or any thing of the like, just as a frame of reference
Ok that make more scene other wise I would have to do it over several weeks.
SSSSSSSSSSPPPP
Look here
what do I even search, I never get what I am looking for, I suck at searching.
I will literally never do this… I would rather pay shipping both ways…
