Herringbone Gears Avio MK2 Gear Drive

If you made Kahuas in TKP, I’d be first in line. I don’t mess with SR RKPs. RPK isn’t my flavor, moreover, add SR canted hangars, press fit motor mounts, and shoulder bolts together for an especially infuriating time.

I don’t care about the color.

Just to clarify, are you saying this broke under normal use? Mine broke because of the wheels going at full speed and dropping onto the ground. Did yours just break randomly? Did it lock up when it happened?

Correct. Wasn’t doing anything silly just riding easy

Good to know. The reason we ask is that some random douchenozzle broke his doing unloaded burnouts.

G’day avX, filled out the google forms… Keen for a set. Did the form come through?

Yes, as @BillGordon pointed out, my gear breaking was user error. Pretty concerning that yours broke under normal use.

@avX are the trampa adapters on the horizon anytime soon?

I’d drop everything Im saving up for and buy them.

I would drop a litter of newborn kittens into a vat of acid for these.

There is a lack of easy to use, quality, and priced right TKP trucks.

Oh nvm

Hmm. Youd need to lathe a trampa truck to adapt it to the mk2. No adapter will do the trick haha.

Does anyone know if the herrigbone gears would fit the mk1 drive?

Nope, they’re smaller

I just finished another inspection after months of bashing the Enterprise…nothing eventful to report. I still have nothing but good things to say about this drive system!

The chunky looking stuff is simply lithium grease.

What type of grease should I use? I can’t find the recommended finish line premium grease in stock here.
