Won’t these work?

This post cost me $17.97. I had a bag of idlers sitting in my cart when I went to look up these on eBay, so of course I completed checkout

Maybe. But d shaft isn’t standardized. It may not.

those are made out of aluminium. they will wear a lot faster than steel ones.

i’m tempted to get these just to shave some weight off my board.

I have a set of you’re interested. Bought em for almost no reason

They aren’t quite right. I bought some and then realized before they got to me that they weren’t the right size. Flipsky flat sections on the 10mm D shaft are 8.5mm and those pulleys are 9mm. I thought maybe I could just tighten them down anyway, but they kept pinching to one side or the other and I didn’t like how it looked. At that point I’d bought one of the steel 15 tooth ones though so I’m just going to use that. This image shows the spec though on the left side. The 8.5 is the flat diameter or whatever you want to call that measurement.

just wondering why a bunch of hobbyking stuff is onsale by a pretty big percentage. sk8 6374 for 36 bucks? sk3 74 for 40-60 bucks? 64 for 26 bucks??

Jesus christ you’re right. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-aerodrive-sk3-6364-190kv-brushless-outrunner-motor.html?queryID=94d201fa99c1817f18011cf6433c3395&objectID=17302&indexName=hbk_live_products_analytics

Sk8 130/149kv sold out before i knew about the sale, didnt even know i wanted them till i saw it. those 64 for $26 beats the banggood fs 64s tho.

Those are unsensored. That’s the kicker I guess.

They should be okay for HFI, not spectacular but enough to get going on most boards

They don’t have keyways :skull: nvm ig

Oh gross

I used a hand file to make a Dbore axle on a sk3. For this price that could be worth it. Or taking 4 to a machine shop for keyways.

Thanks to my telegram bot I noticed LG M50LTs for 3.99€ on Nkon.

@Battery_Mooch does a 45c temp limit seem low or is that kind of standard (for a temp limited spec, I think not all cells have or specify them right)? Trying to get a rough feel for if that’s more of a 5A cell then rather than the 7.3 given in the table

I believe that those are ambient temperatures. The cell would never cool itself down to those low temps when used gently so I think those are just the starting and room temps.

Check the rest of the datasheet very closely, especially the cautions/limits towards the back of the datasheet. They often list a max surface temperature or some other max discharge temp. Check everything, it can be buried in another spec.

All of the ultra-high capacity li-ion cells sag heavily near their rating though. For that cell it will probably start happening when getting up around 5A or so. You’ll have to test it to know where the performance drops off too much for your preferences and priorities.
