Good Deals Thread

Assume a 60°C max surface temp otherwise as that is the highest number listed if no other spec is available. It’s easy to get that hot in a sealed up pack even if not running at the 7.3A rating.

Cheers, that’s helpful because I was more interested in how to reference stuff like that in general than the details for this specific cell

7 short Boosted decks on eBay $312 shipped (accept best offer). So it would be $45 per deck. I actually have a deck, feels great.

Yes, on lots of other stuff too. But the motors don’t have keyway’s or sensors, so less than ideal for most of us.

Idk why people are to scared of round shafts. Sanding a flat spot is so easy, and if you use green loctite no pulley will come off. Actually if you use Loctite 638 or 648 and you let it cure properly you don’t even need a flat spot, that shit is nuclear bomb proof on there.

We like parts serviceable, and that is a lot of work when keyed and D shafts are readily available

Sure, with a blowtorch you can remove glued pulleys easly. Or you know, file the shaft into a d-shape and use d-shaped pulleys. That only makes sense though if you get better deals on round shaft motors compared to d shafts, like the turnigy above.

Blowtorch and apartment are not a very great combo. Loctite fumes are HORRIBLE if you have ever smelled them

For me, keyway and grub screws with blue loctite are the best.

I wouldn’t mind D-shaft with c clips either though but I haven’t seen that option really

I miss the Haggy motors, D shaft, super nice sensor connectors, double C clips, ribbed for her pleasure, and mesh sealed… absolutely perfect

If you have a dremel you can cut the groove for a c-clip yourself.

Hmm true seems tedious though

Nah, just chuck the shaft in a drill with something to protect it from getting marred by the jaws (like popcan aluminum)

Spin it for a second against dremel & done. Could also use a cheap mini metal file w/drill method

yep, takes 20 seconds with maybe with 2 mins of prep time a most. The thing that takes the longes is measuring where you want the groove to go.

Is there an easy way to cut a keyway?

Nope, for the pulley you need a press and a linear cutter and for the shaft you need a mill.
