Go-FOC G300 100V 300A

Yeah but I also seen a lot of them with more reasonable settings and setups (battery voltage and motor KV combo) that have lasted a while.

Jeffrey was getting first place in every heat and was in first place by a lot in the final at TEF1 until slow ABS got him.

I turned that setting off and then used that same d100s at CARVE SEA. Anybody that was at that event can tell you I was not being nice to my board. I did also bring four spare d100s’s just in case lmao. I’m not delusional:)

So I think that a considerable percentage of failures on that specific model of motor controller could be attributed to setup.

I really hope I don’t jinx myself but I’m still running dual D100s on a 4wd 16s setup. Been pushing them hard for well over a year.

Yeah it seems most of the d100s failures are coming from boards with more extreme setups. Higher rpm, possibly raced.

It certainly has some flaws but I think calling them unreliable is inaccurate

It’s the best bang for buck race ready ESC but I could certainly use a bit more than 4wd d100s provides on short track. I’ll be moving to g300 for the rear soon. Possibly the front also at a later date

D100s work great for me. But I don’t trust it to behave at max duty cycle. Same reason why @jack.luis and @BenjaminF have the Dyno built. I don’t wanna risk my body anymore pushing it and crash at +50mph, one time is enough (granted it was prob skill issue).

Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum. A year and a half ago I switched to a Vesc-based controller (Flipsky 75200 v2 Pro) on my bike. I’ve honestly managed to get it to work very well with my 5000 watt hub. It’s quiet, has good heat dissipation, and also good performance. Now I’d like to switch to a slightly higher-end controller, specifically the Maker x G300. I’m interested in knowing your opinions on this controller. Thanks.

You should do some reading in this thread because that’s what it’s about

From what I’ve seen, G300 had been performing pretty well. Although @tuckjohn had his phase wire connection came loose or something, but this was after a bunch of abuse if I recalled correctly.

Is it though? How?

I understand that you are not a Flipsky fan… aahaah… I’ll tell you the truth until November 2023 when the v2 pro came out I wouldn’t have bought a Flipsky either… I was very happy with the v2 pro but now I would like to try a higher-end product…

Thanks

How is it higher-end? More current and voltage or anything else?

Better on a hardware level… then if it pushes more current even better…

The G300 seems like a good compromise between build quality and price. If I’m wrong or you have any other suggestions, I’m here to listen to those with more experience than me.

I’m wondering why or how specifically one would be better than another. I read a lot of vague claims about flipsky and others but other than having three shunts for sensing vs not having that I dont know what would make one a better performer

Honestly, I had a good experience with the 75200 v2 pro. Now I’d like to try other controllers too. Do you think it’s worth it?
