Try reset app settings in vesc tool. Could be jammed by remote data.
Having issues with D75 1st batch.
I set max motor current to 180 as makerx advised, disabled phase filters, started motor detection wizard, amd chose NO to accept default motor settings.
Using the FW on the d75 that it arived with.
The detection process is silent, motors never spin but the results show success.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, how does this power switch work? I canât get the esc to turn off.
I uploaded the custom FW that is available for the first batch of D75 from the Maker X website. Mine detected fine first time. Maybe try updating your FW to the custom FW.
First of all,

140 amps max.
Second, make sure youâre on the latest makerx firmware

The stock button has a very deep throw, you have to push it in very far to turn the ESC off.
thatâs not what she said
Did you have issues with detection prior to the custom firmware?
I didnt try detection until Iâd uploaded the custom FW as Iâd read about all the issues.
@YUTW123 I have a ADC throttle wired in to my D75. When I accelerate and release, the throttle continues to hold the acceleration and only when i manually brake and put my feet down, the wheels stop turning. Any idea what could cause this?
I had a very similar issue when using my D75 to test my bike. I ended up swapping ESCs. The makerX D series of ESCs have very buggy I/O in my experiences
Noisy UART, Uart remotes just dont work for me, one of my pwm ports doesnt work, ADC was awful, etc.
I dont wanna leave this on a bad note either. I just got my 16s mountainboard running with my batch 1 D75. Running 80 motor/50 battery amps per side on 205kv motors/6.42:1 ratio/8inch tires makes such an insane amount of power. I cant recommend high voltage enough.
Any recent reports of the d60? Anyone running 120+ motor w/ or w/out issues? Sensor detection?
Adding RC filtering can improve ADC input stability.
The original 100250 schematic did not add RC filtering.
Considering that the ADC function is rarely used in dual drives, and the compact design, we did not add this filtering.
Connect a 22R resistor in series with the input and a 15NF capacitor in parallel. As shown in the figure.
I recently purchased an almost new Makerx Go-Foc H100 from another member after frying a Trampa HD60 and it completed the motor detection wizard perfectly fine, but before putting the VESC in the enclosure I decided to replace the power switch button for a bigger one but I forgot to disconnect the battery. And when I was extending the cables two of them shorted and there was this tiny spark.
There was no smoke, or any visible mark that could indicate that something got burned. And now it doesnât turn on.
Any idea how to troubleshoot this? @YUTW123 can I send it back for repair?
My experience with quick shorts is the copper inside any insulated cable burns up or vaporizes. Not bad enough to melt the insulation so the cable looks fine, but the copper inside is gone. Just a guess.
The weird thing is the multimeter doesnât show any short between the 5v with GND, but neither vbatt shows the voltage of the battery pack when connected.
Yes no problem, please send it to us for repair.
Thanks. Pls, DM me your shipping address.
@YUTW123 I still cannot get uart (vesc remote) functional on my esc. My remote gets telemetry from the esc but the esc does not detect any input from the remote. Iâve confirmed that it works on other escs. Whatâs up with this?
I had all sorts of issues getting a Vx2 to work.
In the end I ran an NRF remote wizard and in the wizard changed to âcurrentâ in one of the drop down boxes.
Another builder in Oz was having same isses and got it working through NRF wizard too.
