[Ghosted] Unknownboards M5 (A youtuber Brand)

Update: What happened with “Unknownboards” in the last 8 months? They have disappeared from all platforms, no posts, no content, no answers or any kind of communication. Out of Nowhere in may 2022 they reappear and just act as if nothing happened, reviewing an Evolve board, plastered with Referral/discount codes. On user questions about their “brand” they react rather toxic.

Short TL;DR

Ocotober 2021

April 2022

May 2022

Here the rest of the original thread.:

Some may know the Youtuber or Esk8 reviewer “average eskate reviews”

What is with every “new” board and dkp trucks? They feel so damn wrong

I dunno they are very lively, also gives lots of hight for enclosures and does not have wheel bite with pneumatics

There is nothing wrong with them, some people love them

Channel trucks and wide rkp’s feel so natural compared to dkp’s. I can lean my full body into a turn and the path it goes to doesn’t change. With dkp’s there’s just so much slop in steering, and they’re literally everywhere. Just seen an evo with dkp’s last week, no de-wedge on the front either

It looks like this one to me, I got the same one minus the drop through part.

Why would you dewedge the front, isn’t that angle put there for steering purposes?

My main board is a DKP analog, it turns just fine with a lot of control, but the turn is sharper so the resolution is lower

15° wedge + dkp trucks = back wheels almost sitting still while turning full lock to either side. How much angle is too much?

Gotcha, I never seen or used DKP trucks so I was just curious

Looks like a boundmotor board with belts and ubox upgrade.
Also, I’ll be a hater, I’d rather stab my ear drums with an ice pick than listen to those guys.

I don’t think boundmotor uses flipsky motors but could be wrong

Yeah I’m not a big fan of them either, too much of an evolve shill lol he even admits to it

I did watch the video where he talked about riding his DIY that his friend built for him though

Isn’t the enclosure @ebosted 's generic 12s enclosure?

All the parts are off the shelf but he is actually DIYing it. It’s not a rebrand of an existing board. A good stop gap between chinese pre-built and full DIY. Good luck to him.

To me this looks like…

  • Skateshread 40.75" deck $49
  • eBoosted 12s enclosure $100
  • uBox ESC with remote $280
  • 12s4p 30Q battery $240
  • Flipsky 12" trucks with mounts $77
  • Flispky 6354 motors with pulleys $120
  • Cloudwheels with pulleys and belts $150
  • Evolve 7" AT kit $250
  • 12s 6a charger $46
  • 12s 12a charger $95

They are definitely running the Sunmate 175mm tires not the Evolve 7" tires

here the link btw : update - Ghosted - do not buy (can’t anyway lol)

I don’t believe they are running 16s.

Probably 12s max as they’re saying:

“Able to run battery configurations of 6S - 16S”

Looks close, could be, maybe Alan modified it for them
