It could be there is rust I don’t know what the problem is exactly
They will also deteriorate softer metals and the coatings on metals.
You can replace the entirety of the hot end for like 20 bucks.
You’ve pretty much gotten all the tips there are for unfastening something.
K if I still can’t get it off later I will probably replace
Do you by any chance know what this popping noise could be
No idea, but it could be related to the issue of not being able to get the nozzle off if it is rusted on internally.
Does it pop while making retractions? Or also when printing long lines.
Use a wrench to hold your hotend while you try and turn the nozzle. Ive found socket wrenches to be best for removing nozzles.
So even when I push the through manually it still makes the popping probably am just going to replace the hotend as it is around £10 for a new one
What is the best way to wire it
It’s only 2 wires. One for the thermistor and one for ground
And what is the best way to attach a new one
Unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. Replace the thermistor in the new hotend and reconnect the other wire on the screw terminal. It will be almost identical to your old hotend.
K cool will probably order it and just try connecting it in to see if that is the issue
Do you have another nozzle you could try?
If you could get the old one off
I have ordered one next day delivery but either way just tried again and nothing
I don’t actually have a socket wrench so I was just using pliers but however hard I gripped I still couldn’t turn it
Also do you think it’s worth getting same version or newer one
(Newer) https://e3d-online.com/block-sock-v6-upgrade-kit
(Old) https://e3d-online.com/v6-heater-block-fixings-thermistor-clamping
No no
Socket wrench or at least an open-ended wrench is needed.
Could you link a cheap good one
Also for some reason my nozzle is actually just above 7mm and my 7mm hex bolt thing wouldn’t fit around it
Doesn’t really happen with tools.
I really don’t know where to buy stuff in a country I don’t live in.
I usually go and look for used tools at secondhand places. especially when it’s something simple as a wrench.
So I probably need an adjustable one
Also probably a stupid idea but what about a drill
Also does anyone know if this is the right piece I need https://e3d-online.com/block-sock-v6-upgrade-kit
Can I just use this and transfer the old heater pieces
As I would order one now for tomorrow
How would this even work??
As in tighten it in and my drill has this weird reverse function meant for getting out of the hole afterwards
Either way doesn’t matter now as I ordered that new heat block hopefully it works
