Definitely not most qualified person here to definitively answer. But I’d say low positive ramp time like .05 for responsiveness. Are you happy with your braking strength and just need a delay? If you’re looking for softer brakes of course you can lower “motor current max brake” to desired braking strength. Or set some extra deadband in remote?
How do you do this?
I’m ok with strength of brakes.
I do think sometimes my trigger may bounce and hit the brakes when I’m not wanting to.
Increasing the delay on the brake sounds like a bad way to deal with that problem IMHO. Deadband may help. What remote is it? Just curious.
I think it can be done in vesc tool App settings → Vesc Remote. Or I think I may have also seen a setting for it on Flipsky VX4 remote.
I hate riding with any deadband in my remotes. I usually set 2%. Default is 15%…
Seconding this. Deadband always leaves me guessing when something is going to happen. Maybe you can get used to it but I prefer instant reaction to my action.
@rafaelinmissouri I have my deadband set at 7% so it has a little bit of wiggle room. I’d recommend having a little bit of deadband incase the throttle behave weirdly at center.
Set your positive ramping time to 0.1s or 0.15s then lower as needed. Don’t set it to 0 sec, heard it can do wonky stuff.
Try setting a negative expo on your brake? It’ll be weaker in the beginning but kicks in stronger near the end.
Any suggestions for aluminum wheels with 50mm width that can support 28 and 22 bearings? I wanted to buy the Bound Motors wheels but I haven’t heard back from the company when I asked for details.
Will these work? MAD Race Wheels – MADESK8
I have a set of those with 70mm tires, do they work with 50mm tires?
Splicing hall sensor wires for my g300s → hobbywing 70125s
Is the splicing the exact same as it would be as shown?
I haven’t found the pinout that I was hoping existed on hobbywings website
I got some 115mm airless wheels and 40T kegel pulleys from ONSRA, but didnt consider how much space they needed on the axle, so i need to get wider hangers / axles. Does anyone else have these wheels, and if so, how long are your axles?
With the pulley pressed into the wheel it’s around 60mm through the middle, there’s a 7mm gap between the lip of the pulley and the side of the wheel and i cant get it seated any deeper by just pressing it with my hand.
Do i just need to get really long axles? Most of the ones i have seen are only around 5-6mm…
I had this issue with Radium SR125’s as I installed the bearings on the wrong spacer, so it was setup for the wide profile which didn’t work for my other boards. For other wheels, there’s sometimes two bearing setups, if you use the 28mm larger bearings, they would sit on the outside, while the standard skateboard bearings 22mm sit closer to the middle (following the standard truck axle length). I recently had this issue with a set of Mad Esk8 race wheels, and just swapped the bearings.
Im using 22mm bearings, so that’s not the issue for me. But i actually managed to press the pulley in a bit more, and took a better measurement which came out to 50mm. so i should be okay with any truck with a ~55-60mm axle.
Does anyone have any advice on where i can find trucks with +55mm axles in the EU?
Hello beautifull people, it’s been a long while.
I’m want to make a few battery welds, is there in 2026 a cheap spot welder that is worth buying ?
Are the AliExpress 30-60 bucks one actually usable today ? Or are they just a gimmick that will make me cry first time I’ll try using them ?
There are solid reports of the one BatteryHookup sells.
Hi, I have been out of the game for too long, things have changed, trying to figure out the availability of MTB trucks these days.
Moon -Apex, gone, only possible to find used? 22x22 pattern?
3D servisas - Gone, only possible to find used? 22x22 pattern?
Tito - Duality - Available online, 22x22 pattern?
BN trucks - Available online as last stock. 22x22 pattern?
Trammpa / MBS - as always.
Kaly / E toxx - Unabtotinium.
What I am still missing?
MBS, Duality, IDEA PKP, Hypertrucks, Linnpower NEXT. Any prebuilt brands that has MTB trucks, Acedeck has a suspension version.
Tito Duality are 22x22, BN channels are 20x20 I believe. There is of course the MBS Matrix 3 too (22.5mm²)
