It’s interesting because I had it tuned to 80a motors and there was no torque, couldn’t get up hill compared to the 170a vesc tool set it as.
Lemme know if you need help and we can try getting in a call.
Something else is wrong. i get up hills with 40A/ea on hub motors with an old saggy 10s2p and my fat ass.
sure hub ≠ mtb but still
Yeah it sounds a bit wrong. That’s why I asked if he needs real time help.
110 works
What the helly
Never leap towards conclusions when the measuring tool is from harbor Freight.
What’s the context?
I had a guy interested in it if it held 48v+ I charged it up from 32v
and suddenly it’s 69v. It was 1 hour of charging.
Money is money bro, he wants it ![]()
On the topic of ABS over current / current spikes, does current ramping time matter and does using encoders reduce the spikes?
Tiller was renowned for building terrible batteries.
I’m not exaggerating by saying his batteries literally started several house fires.
The only safe place for that battery is buried in the desert.
I can think of a few other safe places for it. There are eight lava lakes in the world, where the planet’s crust thickness touches zero.
Thought I’d ask for general opinions on how many amps at 50.4V are safe to put through a 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel connector with 18awg wire. The specs say rated 10A.
I’ve been using a 2A charger fine but wondering if I could use a 5A decently safely.
Hey kids.
Anyone here with big head go from a TSG Pass XL to a TSG Pass 2.0 XXL
The pass 2 is built better than the original pass, but if you are spending that kind of money on a helmet, I’d personally recommend exploring moto helmet options instead, for way more protection.
5.5x2.1 barrel connectors vary in quality and current handling. Make sure both sides are rated for your intended current.
In my experience “average or typical” ones are good for 2 or 3 amps max. The 10A-rated ones I use up to 7A but they get quite warm so I go no higher. Ymmv.
I don’t ride all that fast dude…
30mph seems to be my ceiling.
Winter is coming and I am looking to the Pass for comfort and warmth.
But I have to make the choice over my half shell…
So it needs to be super light.
I don’t expect there is a moto helmet that is similar weight to the Pass…
Even for a 20-25 mph a fall the difference is huge between an ece22.06 (best standard moto) vs en1078 (pass and other similar helmets). If you are looking for warmth and comfort, a moto helmet is way better at that.
The weight is more for a visored moto helmet, but it’s really something you get used to within days. A lightweight open motocross helmet is barely heavier than a pass.
