For street use, Lacroix deck or Kaly deck?

Looks like so far Kaly is winning, it’s actually easier for me since I already have Kaly enclosure. But I am also worried about the Kaly deck is carbon fiber so I am not sure if that will limit the choice of remote.(my trampa wand seems to have a lot of disconnection with carbon firber enclosure.)

Edit : back to draw I guess.

I respectfully would give the opposite review :man_shrugging:

you can top mount the RX or maybe extend the antenna. It seems that most people are having disconnect issues with the wnad remote.

It’s all good, just my personal opinion. I think the decreased camber on the LaCroix makes it more comfortable for street, the increase camber and hard concave more stable for off-road. Also you can’t really move the enclosure top side on the LaCroix, you can do either top or bottom on the Kaly 2.0.

Those decks are too beautiful to do any top mount in my opinion.

Stealing a pic from @Linny

Not sure what’s the difference between new and old lacroix deck though.

just remove the freaking metal/carbon fiber enclosure and it will double the strength of the signal.

Have you given any thoughts on the printed flap/concave extension for your trampa? Could be a cheap alternative before deciding to buy a new deck.
But don’t let me stop you from getting more decks.

Actually I need to be stopped from getting more decks!

If there is a rehab for buying too many esk8 parts, a lot of us will be locked in forever.

Before getting a new deck why not try some add-on concave pads?

Seriously I’d give the flaps a try first then you can still buy the kaly.

Looks really nice, I will give it a try. I have to ask how durable is the 3M VHB tape?Or should I just go straight to epoxy.

I just went for a ride with mah folks and tried a friend’s Nazare. So far i’ve tried all 3, the Prototipo, the new Kaly, and just 2 hours ago, the Nazare. This deck turns better than the Prototipo, in terms of ‘i won’t tiptoe and fall off when turning’

I didn’t like the Prototipo deck as much due to it being flat where your feet are. The Kaly’s shape of the deck is curved so your feet will feel like you’re standing on a large cylinder if you get what i mean, not everyone might like the feel of the Kaly deck.

All in all, i’d go with either the Nazare deck, and with Kaly being the second.

Mine has not moved at all and I am mostly using it for off road.

Thanks for the very detailed write up. I don’t think I can get a Nazare deck now unless I buy a Nazare  this hobby is a black hole for money.

If you have the chance to try one in a group ride in your area, do it.

Always try it with your own two feet before promising. 9/10 people might like a certain thing but you might be the 1/10 that thinks it’s not to your taste.

Nazare decks shouldn’t be able to be purchased i think, so your best bets are the Kaly deck, or the Prototipo.

Oooh, have you considered this one?

Looks like you’ve ridden this one too base on the picture you shared. What do you think compare to Kaly or Trampa HS11?
