I guess if you can’t find anything that’s good news. If people were having cutout issues with the new firmware they would be pretty vocal about it, like they’ve been before.
Yep definitely encouraging, I’m just paranoid and like to confirm, especially when I keep hearing people mention others that have had issues still, but seems like that information isn’t correct and anyone still having issues probably just isn’t running the newest FW.
Having a board lock up past 35 is obviously a nightmare scenario, so I want to have total faith in the ESC before pushing it. I’ll probably play it safe for awhile and keep it sub 30mph until its been vetted for another few months.
That sounds scarey AF. What can cause that to happen. I skate city traffic, if I come off my board…I’m most likely going under a car. I need to be pro active in this. A couple times I was riding when I approached 30 mph I felt a jerk…like a 1 second power loss. One time I noticed I had washers stuck to the outside of one of my motors the other time I thought I grazed the brake.
Naawww player this thing is studdering What can cause studdering while accelerating hard. Sometimes it happens sometimes not.
Are you up to date on firmware and are you using a first batch unity?
I ordered in the last batch before this one how can you tell other than the date purchased. in unity app it says 23.44 at the bottom of the screen.
Ok I did a fw upgrade and yes omg…that’s what I’m talking about.
All fixed?
Yes. Just got back from a 8 mile ride. I need to play with the throttle curve I need more getup from a kick off.
Thx guys…you guys are bad ass. Could not have done it without all you guys. I now have my very own first DIY. I’m super duper STOKED!!!
Close to be empty remote battery, ppm signal issues, bad solder join, lose connection in the wiring, blown fuse, discharge bms cut off power, locked up gear drive for to broken teeth or something, locked up chain drive due to stones gering into the chain etc etc
some of those are pretty much unavoidable huh?
Are you still on the 42t gear?
Yes. …
No need to play with throttle curves.
When you switch to the 60t everything will be ok.
If changing gearing is not enough you can always reduce the positive ramping to 0.1.
You can find it under ppm settings in the vesc tool, not sure where it is to find in the unity interface though.
they were delivered a couple days ago (60t). I would like to swap out my motor mounts as well. the ones I have…they flex way to much, even a noob like myself can see that. any suggestions on mounts for RKPs
No need to wait for new mounts.
Changing the wheel pulley is very easy and will transform your board.
Contact @akhlut and @moon for mounts.
@drone001 I need to get your plates cut.
Sorry it’s taken so long.
