And not to mention, the real improve with alu pcb is for toll package, where the mosfets are cooled trought the pcb.

Hello guys, it’s a really awesome project, but some doubts arose. Like how many ADC pin’s we has? Really need IMU BMI to use? Or can run without that? Bcuz it’s cheaper in JLCPCB to order without that. Wich version it uses of Vesc Firmware? Btw tks for the help! Best regards!

only if you are using it in a onewheel like I do you can solder the imu later if you like i do that with hot air solder station

I saw some of your images, and the boards you ordered are assembled by jlcpcb or your assembled them by hand? I’m thinking in ordering only the board and request component by component idk wich is better in terms of money.
I have done both. Normally, I let them be assembled by JLCPCB (using the economic option, not the standard one) and add the standard components myself. I have also assembled some boards myself just for fun to practice hot air soldering.

It depends on the voltage
I was never running more than 6 FETs but already pushed 12kW PEAK power with a 20s pack. Also its more about cooling than how many FETs you have.
Hey friend, how is going the project? You ordered the Extended parts? I’m thinking abou to remove the extended parts and solder myfself.
Yeah i ordered all the extended parts from lcsc, i think the fet drivers are not original infineon and the mosfet are from aliexpres.
I have built and tested the new FETs and it works! However I have some violent jerking when it tries to switch to sensorless so some work to do there.
The jerking only happens under 200A of acceleration admittedly, it ran fine at 100A
sounds like a tuning issue
I cut the gain from 3 to 1, switched from lambda saturation comp to factor, and put in the datasheet figures for the motor (-25% or so) and it runs fantastically on FOC now. Still quite jittery at startup with the hall sensors but I can run 150A without issues and it only overheats at 200A.
maybe try to rerun the HALL detection, and try to check with hall_analyze 20 in the console
in experimental you can look at the hall graphs (on the desktop version)
