flipsky sw1 spot welder

What pulse duration are people using typically for the Flipsky welder? Def getting sparking every time now and it’s just putting holes through my nickel and didn’t use to before.

the charge level on the battery effects that, with a fresh 3S battery at full charge i do about 13ms on .2 and move it up to 17 as it discharges although i dont like it getting too low.

yeah im slightly higher but using rubbish tips
i tend to start at 17 or so and finish at 22

Ok so I tried to contact the Flipsky customer support chat and stated I need to purchase new tips/probes for the welder. After bugging them a couple days in a row and not hearing back finally my third night of bugging them, I get the response which all they said was, “oh, sorry we have not this one”

Meaning I spent $240 on a welder and yet they can’t even sell me any sort of replacement tips/probes in order to keep using it hopefully to fix my welds which have gone to shit and I am hoping it’s just a probe issue… But they can’t sell me Replacement probes… Anyone have any suggestions/alternatives/links? Much appreciated

replace it with Kweld probes?

Yeah, this.

Or, for much cheaper product and shipping,

I have also found that the Malectrics probes do not heat up as badly vs the kweld probes.

Either way, order a set of ProbeGripz for the best spot welding experience with these probes :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: #shillshillshill

or for the pen go to sequere who sell the welder in the first place and they sell
flipsky are just a reseller

If you search around on the internet for 3mm probes/pins/electrodes they can be found. I’ve ordered some to see if they’re any good.
Something like this.

Has anyone tried to use tellurium copper? Same as what kweld uses

I see the flipsky uses 3mm tips. So buy 3mm tellurium rod and just use a file to get it into shape. Should last much longer no?

i think you could fit a slightly wider one in though maybe 4mm

Yes we have switched to tellurium copper - it’s required for this welder. I’m actually not using it anymore, it’s on a semi permanent loan to @BigBen and he’s switched the electrodes out and it’s much more durable now

Was supposed to post that from this account, doh

Tellurium is the shizz. Making the flipper pretty damned good.
The copper from Ali was usable but burnt through probes in a battery.

The tellerium I linked to? Where did you source yours?

I sourced mine from a metal supplier here in the UK. Meaning to prep some to put in the shop but have had ,er, other stuff going on. :joy:

If you can make some sets I’d actually really want to buy them

It definitely a great spot welder. Though I’d say malectrics is just as good and cheaper
