Hi so I bought one and I modified the pen to take the kweld electrodes due to the flipsky ones wearing so heavily.
I’m spot welding 0.15 pure nickel.
Running 40ms and 20% short pulse. But still find inconsistency in the welds.
As the batteries begin to drop I have to up the ms.
But still having inconsistent or unstuck welds … any suggestions ?
Also wondered if the oversized kweld electrodes are not allowing enough juice through ?

I don’t know what is causing your problems but the larger the electrodes are the lower their resistance is. This makes is easier for current to flow, not harder.
…assuming all connections are tight and large enough cables are being used.

Sounds like you need a bigger better battery. What are you using and how old is it?
