flipsky sw1 spot welder

nope plenty of pressure i think the copper has just worn down a bit and maybe black from lots of welds in a row? :man_shrugging:

Intersting. My Kweld tips kind of just get dull, no black

Both the Flipsky as well as the Sequre have the same UI as my Malectrics.
I wonder if they have the same internals but different packaging…

Copper tungsten alloy? Supposedly much more resistant to arc damage and almost as conductive as copper depending on the blend.

dunno but the flipsky ones litterally require sharpening after every p group
they are thin and wear down very quickly

Mine aren’t that bad, certaintly a bit sparky if I dont hit perfect welds in the center of the cells they’ll spark and stick a little more than i’d like

yeah thats the issue
very sparky and also they do stick a lot

the spark wear down the electrodes really quickly though

This is what’s happening to me now that I started using P42A. I never had this issue on 40T’s. Also, I want to vouch for Malectrics. I had mine die on me. The UI worked but it wouldn’t weld.

I had packs that needed to go out so I bought a whole new one with the fastest shipping. In the notes for the order, I mention my dead welder. When the new one came in, I noticed he also shipped the part I needed to fix my old one! For free! Pretty nice of him.

dunno same here though
on 30t the tips didnt wear much then on the p42a they have worn a ton
i thought maybe cause my welds were a bit cold on the 30t

That’s what I thought, so I went and did some test welds on spares I had. The welds were perfect and ripped the nickel when pulled. I think better electrodes are the answer.

Living in the UK seems really inconvenient. A country that small should be trying to be as open as possible when it comes to international trade. It’s not like in the US where there’s 300 million people to potentially make the thing you need. Brexit is not good for esk8. Then again, trumps trade war killed boosted so whatever.

yeah def
