FlexiBMS Lite - Flexible Configuration BMS w/ CAN-bus

Sorry, late to the party. Any chance getting a hold of a FlexiBMS? Looks like a nice piece, and I don’t have room for my DieBieMS so I need something smaller.

Love the idea of USB PD

So is there any way to connect to this bms other than CAN?

USB VCP

Can you link what you mean? What I’m trying to avoid is having a long cord from my ESC to BMS. Does this solely plug into BMS?

Yes

Bluetooth via UART?

Flexi BMS Lite-CAN-Metr-Bluetooth-metr app

I think you can use UART instead of CAN if you want

That’s would be awesome. Has to be metr?

As fare as I know the metr is the only one to incorporate the FlexiBMS lite, DieBieMS, LLT BMS. Tho the LLT has a separate BT to the phone and it’s own app as well

As far as I know, the only two devices that currently integrate with the Flexi are the Metr and my DAVEGA X. Both rely on VESC CAN forwarding and require the Flexi to be connected to VESC via CAN.

There’s also Metr CAN Pro that we’re currently testing and that will probably (?) be available for sale soon. That one can connect to Flexi via BMS directly (doesn’t rely on VESC CAN forwarding).

Either way, CAN is currently the only interface you can use to connect Flexi to the system.

@SimosMCmuffin AWESOME work :clap:t4:
and man love your creativity and endurance.

A few questions:
1- Can multiple units run in parallel ?
2- Can it be scale to 18S ?

What’s this port for?

1 by parallel do you mean to be used in a 24s system (series’s)? In witch case no
2 would require changing them mcu for one with more input that will require a complete redesign

Thats what I want to know

Then what is that UART port for?

I don’t think it’s used for anything at the moment.
