Quick bench test and everything works fine!

Lol that clearance ![]()
How does the wheel pulley actually connect to wheel? Usually there’s a kegel or ABEC pin pattern that physically interfaces with the wheel. If that’s just a press-fit 3DP disc in there..
It’s a bolt through pulley! Proper OG style!
Yup, bolt through! Just need to print a drilling jig!
Drilling jig printed. Was very tight getting on so will probably be sacrificial which is fine as it won’t spin when I get it on the drill press!
Also new pulley which sits much better! ![]()
Batteries
The link i previously posted was £70 delivery and 6-10 weeks so that’s a none starter.
I have messaged a custom battery builder on eBay and will see what they reply with.
In the mean time what stops me buying 4 of these packs and making a 12s2p myself?
It works out at £181.78 shipped. I’ll just need to buy the series and parallel connectors, a balance charger, and a parallel charging board. All in would be roughly £260.
Nothing stopping you at all!
You could go the balance charger route, but unless you plan on using the lipos seperately for something else, it would be ultimately much easier to rig it all up to a bms and use a regular charger and charge port.
This thread does a good job of explaining the process
Be sure to put the single motor on your heel side.
I just got back from lunch riding my little single drive longboard.
Peep it.
Thank you! Once again you’ve changed the direction i will be going with this! ![]()
By the looks of it, it looks like it’ll be easier for me to make a 2 12s packs and have a bms as charging only on each one. Unless you can point me in the direction on how to link the balance cables up in parallel?
I reckon you’d probably be able to buy pre-made splitter cables, but if not, they’d be pretty easy to make with the appropriate JST connectors.
I’ve never tried to splice two wires into one crimp but i’m sure there’d be tutorials on this somewhere online. I’d search for ‘how to daisy chain jst connectors’
Word of warning though, when joining seperate series batteries in parallel like that, if one cell goes bad in one battery for whatever reason, it’ll take the corresponding cell in the other battery down with it.
Hopefully people can read this diagram.
From the video you sent and some research this looks correct.
The idea to join them together was to use veroboard to link the parallel balance cables and then split that into a 13pin on a veroboard as well. This way i can disconnect everything if required.
She lives!! Kinda of…
