First ESK8, Want to make battery will work with esc and motor

Hey all!

I am in the process of building my first esk8.
The two motors and the ESC I already have, got them from a past project.
I was wondering if the battery will work for this setup

Battery:

10S2P - Samsung 40T datasheet
36V
8Ah
Continuous Discharge Rating - 70A

Motors: (x2)

Flipsky BLDC Belt Motor Battle Hardened 6374 190KV 3500W link
6374 190KV
Max Power: 3500Watts
Max Current: 85 Amps
Max Volts: 12S

ESC: (x2)

Mini FSESC4.20 link
Amps: 50A continuous, 150A instantaneous
Voltage: 8V-60V(Cells: 3-13S LiPo, Safe for 3S to 12S LiPo)

Do you think this setup is ok? Is there anything else I’m missing or that I should be considering?

Thanks!

Looks okay, just know these esc rating are completely overboard and it can’t do that much. Motors are a bit large for this setup and will give you lots of overhead, but you’ll likely be happy with smaller 6354 motors.

edit: I see you already have the motors and esc, that being said it looks a-ok.

Where are you getting the battery from?

yea, the 6374 motor is way more than I need.
Because I already have the motors and esc I will start with them, later on do you recommend upgrading the esc to something else?

As for the battery, I’m still reading and studying, either I order a ready-made battery, or DIY

Great resources for you to look into. For the ESCs, you could benefit from upgrading to something like a stormcore, especially with larger motors, but with a small 10s2p battery, those will probably suffice.

Buy my cells! 1$ each and u can’t blow urself and house up
Sell 48 minimum

Reclaimed but minimum 96% capacity

Thanks!

even if the cells are rated for that current, you’ll see quite alot of sag at that draw and you wont have the capacity that you expect out of them.

@xsynatic can confim even for p42a cells :joy:
