Not in the picture lol.
On the other side of the track, I got down too low, kinda lost control, my ass were dragging on the ground for a good 20ft. I can feel my ass cheek heating up lol…
Also ran over a curb during the race, somehow stayed on and kept going
Good to experiment new riding styles🤣
Footage from Psychotiller cam on board with Brandon Torgerson A-main on a single file race restart.
Thanks David, great shots: https://www.facebook.com/innodave/media_set?set=a.10104987581772943&type=3
Looking fwd to the 2020 season. Had a good time with the SOS series. SoCal riders progressed to a formidable group that will rival all comers.
We had production boards batteling DIY and some surprisingly fast competitive Urethane Racing which was very entertaining to watch.
We had @psychotiller, Lazyrolling, Riptide Sports and Skate The Wedge support for both points Series along with cash payouts for podiums in both classes at every event.
Race format and rules were kept simple. We ran qualifying, heat races and Mains. The racing started around 9am and we had checkered flag and podium before lunch. A quick hit and git on a borrowed surface with no shut downs.
The fast and furious group will continue to grow but 2020 will be with an emphasis on an entry level class.
The “Bomber Class” will have a qualifying time Cut-Off limit to seperate itself from the “Pro Class.”
A portable transponder loop timing system is a goal for this season.
The Objective for 2020 is to have a place to develop your raceboarding skill and equipment. Success with SOS19 showed us that Raceboarding can be done from the back of your car for a couple of grand in equipment. As grass roots as it gets.
Would like to see more manufacturers getting involved backing riders.
2020 schedule, “in the works”
Any input, potential race spots, format changes or thoughts are greatly appreciated🏁
The spot of the first race was fun! Reminded me of a go kart track… Also the race with Brandon riding the 4wd 6x3 Psychotiller board looked like a fun spot
Brandon this would not have happened without you and Charity. Thank you for your selfless donation of your time, equipment, and race knowledge! RipTide and I will be there again in 2020 to help further this awesome sport!
The same goes for you, Brad. You bring a ton of legitimacy and passion to the scene. Yet another reason why you’re the king of the hill in your market segment.
I would really like to know who might be able to make the race at Barrett Junction this month: https://www.facebook.com/events/2658787484188457/
I know I’m just the noob here but check this out.
2 days ago @kook was telling me in another thread about how he wanted to contact a local Karting track near my house. I don’t mean to step on your toes since I know it was your idea and you were planning on contacting them. So i do give the @kook the credit.
I made contact and i have great news. They are going to let us skate there.
This place was formerly called Grange motor circuit. I haven’t been there in a few years. but when I was there. we were karting.
Now it is the Apple Valley Speedway.
Here is what was said in the email with all the contact info for you guys that was to get things organized.
Electric skateboards with full safety gear is completely fine. However, we’ll only allow this type of event after we complete our track repavement and layout extensions in March of 2021.

I was wondering if you would allow a group of electric skateboard racers to rent your track for the day? everybody has full safety gear. Helmets, full motocross style gear, ect.–

holy fukking w0w…
$1200/20=$60 ea.
that’s stiff…
half day rental may work… I “think” i remember a practice day on my supermoto bike being like $20/$25 bux…
thanks for the leg work… I “may” have to take a board out there and look at what the pavement looks like presently
hopefully the track is configurable… a mile track is a pretty fukking big esk8 track
ya I talked to my brother and he said its been like that for a while. lol
so do you think we can get an event organized by march?
do you think people will be interested in driving up the hill for a venue like this?
so ya it sounds like a lot but is we can organize enough people i think a full day would be worth it for a race. ill pitch in on it for sure. they do have practice days and open track days. i think its like 40 bucks for all day practice.
I have to go to the dump right up the street from there today so i will stop by and get some video if they are open.
ya it would be big. big enough to fit 10 or 20 skaters on the track at once.
you can peep over the fence on the back straight, opposite the pits if they won’t let you in the gate…
pop in and see them… don’t be k00ky, and see if you can get them to help us, help them…
take lotsa pix and see what info you can gleen
a mile long freesk8 track would be fun… a mile long esk8 race track would be fukking HUGE
