I do have slow abs on, didn’t realize I could set it to 300A will try that as well.

David and I chatted a bit about that, I already tried the suggestions which didn’t fix it. Hard to say at this point if I damaged CAN chips. Someone else with D100ses will have to try.

sounds like a me job
i’ll check it on friday

I found that with me it was bc i didnt look far enough in the corners i made. A good track session will learn you how to watch ahead into the corners you make easily.

Definitely, gotta be on the lookout for that apex.

Try off phase filtering?

Sure, I can try that as well.

Nah looks like turning off phase filters didn’t do anything. Also, the hardware limits to 250A absolute, I’ve set it to that now.

We’re close I think. Only faulted once on one esc. Only in the front which is where I was breaking traction.

Is it possible you’re just running too many amps through those 54’s? I know your motor temps aren’t high but it seems like a lot of watts for a little motor. Im only running 110 amps through my 85’s at 16s

Hmm I never considered it. I’m running 70/-65 on each, I’d think that’s still under absolute max. I think the vesc app depicts spike, you don’t see the same numbers in the metr app.

If replacing power leads and removing sensors don’t fix the issue, then maybe I’ll lower the amps. I didn’t think it would be settings since I ran these on legacy D100 most of the time fine.

Also, 4wd is supposed to spread the load so we don’t hit as high amps as 2wd setups :man_shrugging:

Hmmm… that bluey grey motor looks like its behaving awfully differently than the others…

Nobody wants to lower the amps. I’m just guessing… are they 205kv? If it’s happening when wheels are spinning could it be an unloaded erpm thing the controller isn’t happy about?

You mean in general these new motors?

Yeah 205kv, and yeah I’m thinking the same, could be an unloaded thing. I mean erpm max is set to 150k (maybe I need to double check), and at 205kv it shouldn’t be nearing that. I’m actually coming down from 225kv where I had no unloaded problems lol. Maybe I’ll free spin it on the bench.

Here’s the other observation I broke traction multiple times last night but only faulted once. So, I’m still leaning towards the power leads since I’ve only replaced the negative side. Waiting on some new bullet connectors to replace the positive side.

Side note, I got chased out by security again. This never happened before, I think the loudness of my board is starting to attract unwanted attention lol. Like how red sports cars tend to get pulled over more.

think he means this line on the chart vs the 3 below it.

That is duty cycle. I’d share logs but I don’t know how to not share map.

Isn’t 205kv way too high for 21s? Maybe it would be better to go lower and make up for it with the gear ratio?

It’s 120k ERPM at 95% duty cycle. Should be fine from a VESC perspective.

18k RPM is a little on the high side for a motor bearings / iron losses perspective, but this is a race board, not a reasonable board.

Yeah as Evan said it’s only 120k rpms the hardware should be able to handle 150k. I was running 139k prior to this.
