I’m right at 145 now. I should do another full drain range test now that I’ve lost all that fat just for fun.

Every time i see this thread I think about Kindergarten Cop where Arnie plays that game with the kids “Who is your daddy and what does he do?”

There’s a mistake in the article referring to it being driven by belts rather than gears…
It’s been busy! We launched officially on valentine’s day. we sent out some press releases and got some nice press. We are now officially taking preorders so spread the word. We do affirm, klarna, and shop pay and all the major cards and even apple pay.
We booked booths at Esk8con! we will be a vendor there. If you’re going, we’ll see you there!
And we have been dealing with issues regarding decks. We have 14 boards built but should have a lot more by now. Decks are the holdup at the moment. There are plenty of populated enclosures and more coming, and we did receive word that another batch of decks will be shipping out to us this week, so more boards are going on racks soon.
the production samples for our packaging were supposed to arrive today but didn’t, and we’re still waiting on manuals.
@longhairedboy is working on a series of 8 bite sized explainer videos dealing with all of the simple topics regarding our boards. How to charge it, how to use the remote, how to pair the remote, how to turn the board and remote on, how to check the battery level and what level to store it at, how to swap wheels, how to adjust truck angles, etc. All are about two minutes or less and stay on the point, but they do show off the board. We hired a nice camera guy and he was doing all kinds of rack focus and other tricks. They should be done sometime in the next few days and will be on YouTube and our site as soon as we can get a page built for them. We’ll likely post them to socials as well.
also took some nice product shots in the same setting we shot the video. You’ll probably see some of those on instagram and Facebook.
We’re very very close to shipping boards. We’re saying we’ll ship in the spring but that’s being a bit vague. We’ll be able to ship to existing preorders as soon as we have the boxes and manuals.
We’ll keep you posted!
That was caught and we did contact them about it. Hopefully they will fix it soon. As of now it is still incorrect and does not tell them we’re using nitride hardened 4140 steel gears like the feisty bastards we are.
Are the wheel and motor gears that material? Are they straight or helical?
Helical. Both wheel and motor gears are the same steel. They sound really cool too.
also to reviewers at some point?
I would hope that paid customers are first in line before reviewer samples
(Even though in an ideal world reviews would come out before sales open, but yeah)
Decks are the holdup, but once they start flowing we’ll have inventory for both orders and reviewers of course. We’re actually receiving some decks today if this tracking info is correct.
Also we’re going to esk8con! And I’m going to make a separate post about it, but we’re looking for somebody to ride our board in the races there.
Sick - I guess the decks are pretty important lmao
Any plans to sell decks and enclosures separately?
Defiant basically built my board with bigger motors, an extra p, and a Davega and I take that as the highest compliment. It’s really a perfect board for pure electric skating on urethane. And still lightweight enough to carry under one arm.
That is being talked about, as well as the entire drive train set, wheels and all.
That’s a sweet build!
But the Davega and reverse mounted motors were stolen ideas from my board
And I agree, it’s really an amazing part selection for a fast urethane board
reverse mounted motors is the future
capybara board looks fire.
Are the truck made in house? you guys gonna sell the trucks by themselves ?
Please ignore the guys rummaging through your apartment stealing more ideas for boards. They’re actually there to help you.
No. They were custom made for us by Boardnamics. We revered the orientation of the motors, beveled the hangers to keep the motors as tight as possible, and made them 280mm wide. Also the gear drives themselves are designed for a fixed ratio, the tolerances are pretty tight in there, barely room for grease.
we’ll likely sell the whole drive system as a kit, it’s being heavily considered.
