So, uh, is Defiant still around? Their website is still up and I ordered a Stormcore, but it hasn’t shipped (10 days later) and an email to them has gone unanswered.

One of my boards still has a 60D, but then 2 of my boards still have Unity’s
MakerX seems to be the most prolific and its what I’d suggest to most people (and have locally) given the price and expectations.
If you’re going balls-to-the-wall my understanding is the SKP-Solo, or the Ennoid MK8 are your options outside of the more “one-wheeled board” oriented ESCs (Little FOCer).
I have personally been eyeing a pair of Sprintend Dual Alu-Lite 100V as replacements for the DV6 (original) and Stormcore 100d Im running in my Split PPM 4wd board. As far as I can tell, thats pretty much it for the market sans flipsky or non-VESC based ESCs like Exway (MBS Agent ESC).
AFAIK you’re pretty much rolling the dice on QC for any brand so its sorta a crapshoot. Less others know something I don’t this is what I’ve come to gather as I’ve been lurking the last year or so.
