The About menu item has been introduced in FW 1.3.0. Your FW is older than that. I’ll PM you your device ID.
On my Windows machine, loading the .dfs, if the load hung for even a 1/2 second, hitting CTL-C was necessary for me to reattempt loading the file system successfully.
Hey, I saw that you just uploaded the version 2.0! I’m exicted about that.
Can I also have my davega Id? I don’t have the “about” part because I have the 1.2 and my device is stuck with the wifi problem.
I also have another weird thing where my davega would show half of my speed that I am at, so everytime I ride, I need to multiply the speed x2 to get my actual speed. I hope this would be fixed in the new version. I’m pretty sure I entered everything correctly.
Edit:Tthis should had been a PM but it got sent here.
Is it possible that you entered your “motor poles” instead of “motor pole pairs”?

@stan: I’ll PM you your device ID.
I entered 14. " * The number of pole: 14"
should it be 7?
Yes, because 7 pole pairs = 14 poles.
BTW, starting from FW v1.3.0 this setting has been replaced with “motor poles” since this has been a common source of confusion. It gets migrated automatically. Just so that you don’t get confused it’s back to 14 after you do the FW upgrade.
Support for VESCs up to FW v3.67 added in v2.0.1.
Do I have to connect to a computer to get that firmware or will it come under updates
Can be installed over WiFi. You need to hold the middle button while booting up to prevent the error.
So for some reason when I try going on settings it just comes up with a bunch of errors even when I go down to an old version of the firmware
I need more details. You shouldn’t go back to a v1.x firmware. That won’t work with the bootloader v2.0. The major versions must agree as explained above. Please switch to the FW v2.0.0 and send the error you’re getting.
I made a couple of changes based on yesterday’s feedback, which hopefully make the migration to v2.x easier. I updated the installation instructions above.
Changes:
DAVEGA X Tool no longer tells you to erase flash before installing FW. That message was a left-over from the previous version and is no longer valid. Changed in davegax-tool v1.2.
Port can be selected manually. @DicKie has reported that the serial port auto-detection has failed for him on a Mac. davegax-tool v1.2 allows you to select your DAVEGA X serial port manually. On my system, this is /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART on Mac and COM6 on Windows. YMMV.
main.dfs no longer needed. Before, if you erased the flash and then reinstalled the bootloader and firmware, DAVEGA would not start up because it would miss the main.py file. This file is now included in each firmware dfs file (e.g. davegax-v2.0.1.dfs), so there’s no need to import it separately.
Automatic switching to installed FW. Before, you would need to hold the up button while your DAVEGA is booting up so that it switches to the newly installed FW (if installing via DAVEGA X Tool). The switching is now done automatically upon installation.
Finally got around to installing the wedges @annihil8ted printed for me. They look great. I think this will make the screen a lot easier to just glance at.
Yah I wedged mine just a few degrees and it’s a lot better. Yours looks like it has more wedge which should be even better
Yea I stacked two. But finding m3 screws tgat worked sucked.
Would there be a way to have a custom voltage readout on the davega?
That seems like a very minor use case. What would you want that for?
Finished my board yesterday. The Davega X is super on it!! @janpom Thanks for developing this for us!
