Did you remap input in the vesc tool?
If you did and it still doesn’t work, it sounds like an issue with the adc conversion happening in the mini. You could get around that with a 10k in parallel, but at that point, it’s getting to be a lot of bandaids for something that’s otherwise an easy off-the-shelf solution where the only real cost is a couple days. (as you’ve figured out lol)

hey @dani - i have all my pieces now!
I went to start the process, glued my batteries in. When i went to secure the plate with three screws from the mini remote, it turns out that the screws are far too small in diameter and simply slide thru the hole. do you know what size screws i need? for some reason the ones from the mini remote wont work for me
That’s weird.
Maybe your holes printed too big?
One thing you can do is fill the holes with super glue and let it dry, this will make enough “meat” for the thread to catch.
If you want bigger bolts try measuring the holes with caliber and derive from that
It would be odd if the holes printed too big, the print seems pretty much perfect. Any chance some versions of the mini remote use smaller screws? Hmm idk. I’ll figure it out I guess
There’s only one version out.
Some minis have bigger bolts, but I designed for the smaller ones.

Yeah I did too, used super glue to build it up first.

My first impressions are unfortunately not great 
Use wise for me that is. Design/print is perfect. I really just think it’s the size of my hands. I feel like the joystick wants to be flipped 45* back towards my thumb from the center of the pot.
Forward on the pot is fine… but my thumb just doesn’t seem to sit in a way where I can finely control breaks. Also, the resistance on the pot is much less than I thought it’d be.
That is however my impression from feeling it and not actually riding with it though. Should hopefully be able to ride with it by next weekend.
@dani is it possible that you could release several versions of the .stl that have the pot clocked at different angles? Probably not a huge deal, so if it would be difficult and there isnt much demand, then dont worry about it 
I have yet to print/assemble my chubby so I dont have any issues to report.

I also had trouble using the screws from the mini to close my remote. they are too small to do that too.
Is the other hole in the case meant for binding purposes?

There are two holes: one for the led and the other for the binding button.
It’s weird, I have 3-4 of those potentiometer/joytsicks lying around the workshop and when I measure them none of them have a linear reading (ohms) from rest to “full”. They go to 0 (or 5k or whatever) from about 15-20 degrees. Maybe I should just order some new ones of AliExpress and try again.
Mine have full motion afaik
After riding a bit, I am noticing that I am not using the real estate of the gigantic thumb pot, but instead I seem to find myself pushing on the edge for throttle. Maybe I am holding it wrong, but it does seem like it could benefit from some angle adjustment
