Bushing and Truck Setup Help Offered

hahaha no worries!! Hopefully this was caught early enough to save you from future troubles!

No lie I originally spent a good 30 minutes cursing and sweating trying to get this all secured before I realized the issue lmao.

I was over here balancing a 30lb board with trucks and motors attached in just the right position to impede access to the nuts needed to secure the bolts… Doing this whilst trying to route the wires through the tunnel, as well as install my shred lights in between the board and riser pad while keeping the bolts and everything intact was hassle enough. For the longest time I just thought I was using a bad angle/wrench and that was my issue

Anyways… shit happens haha - just sent you an email  Thanks for the help

hey,
i’m trying to use an old drivetrain i had laying around somewhere.
it’s not bad in sé, but the urethan on both wheels and bushings feels like freaking stones.

For the wheels i’ll just swap them for tb110 when i’ll have a minute, but for the bushing i have absolutly no idea what i do need as i always used the stock ones.

Those trucks look like caliber clones, that’s a 1wd drivetrain, and i’m 70-75kg if it does somehow entre the equation

i’m not against a bit more carvy, but the real point of it all is getting less vibrations from the street

I’m going crazy looking at the riptide website trying to find which bushings I need. I’m running a BN adjust baseplate + bn220 in the back and a BN adjust baseplate and tb218 in the front and need decent bushings. I weigh 87kg/190lbs.

I would say start harder then go down if you can’t make your turns easily. Depends on if you are actually needing speed. What setup do you currently ride and how would you like it different?

I have random ass bushings so I have no idea lol I tried these hard riptide bushings and ofc they’re too hard

I was given them for free so I think I’ll pass them on to someone else who is heavier than me

These seem like the 93a Krank bushings smh i figured it out myself finally.

i’ll get 90a and 87a bushings and go from there. If they dont work for me, someone gets em for free.

Come on man, read the original post to see what information you need to provide lol. Or read literally any of the other requests, and you’ll see that you need to give him more information to help you.

Of course there are bushings that will stiffen it up haha

Fair enough, just thought there were standard bushings That stiffen up tourqboards, 218

My weight is 13stone but I’m on a diet aiming to loose a stone, I will get there.

Only been riding for or a couple of weeks after a 43 year gap :). I has the first original plastic deck back in the day.

Really Want to stiffen up movement as deck really is loose, I really does wobble violenty at speed.

Wheels are evolve 97mm 76a and not really sure what the deck is here is a pic of it.

Google Photos

Google Photos
Pic of the trucks they are sort of mounted through the deck.

Is there any other thing needed?

Also it does veer to one side slightly when nothing on deck and press go on remote, is there anyway to remove this?

Thank you

I’m looking for advice on bushings and cups to get for my DKP setup.
These are the trucks I have:

It is claimed that “These trucks have the exact same dimensions as the Evolve Trucks.”
I’m guessing they are rebranded flipsky:

or Ownboard:

I’m guessing they use the exact same bushings as Evolve trucks?

My goal is for them to be more stable, but also somewhat carvable.
Right now they just feel floppy to me.

I’m 6’4" and 200lbs.

I’d be using them with AT wheels.

By appearance and everything, I bet they are all the same.

If you aren’t worried about money, you could pick up one of the Riptide Evolve bushing packs and try some different combos

Hmm I can only see one box for double-kingpin and it’s just got 8 bushings. You need to pick your durometer when you order which brings me back to my question.

I don’t think I would want to order more than one of these boxes that’s too much money.

Ah, I was unfamiliar how those worked.

I would personally probably suggest the white green combo but you can see if brad will comment. You get the pivot cups with them too which is nice

I will try to spend some time here tonight, sorry for my absence.

Awesome thanks! As well as ideal durometer for the DKP box I’m gonna get I’d like your advice for whether to get the Evolve box or the Ownboard box.
From looking at Dual Kingpin Electric Skateboard Bushing Box | RipTide Sports Inc. they look the same except that I see that the Evolve box uses short for bushings 2&4 whereas the ownboard box uses regular Street Barrels.
As mentioned above my trucks appear to be rebranded Ownboards (or maybe flpskys) but also claim to have “the exact same dimensions as the Evolve Trucks”.
