Bushing and Truck Setup Help Offered

The best way to do this is receive the trucks and measure them. I have lost count of times when people have told me “they are the same as” but they are not. “Clone” does not equal “Copy”. Best to measure the bushing heights then choose the closest kit we make. The only thing that seems to be consistent have been our pivot cup fit all the DKP trucks we have come across. For your weight and use, I suggest the 90/93 kit. We weigh the same and that is what I run.

Give us an update on what they feel like when you receive them, I have a set of ownboard trucks on a kit board that I built that I’ve considered getting bushings for.

Don’t know why I didn’t think of this. Yup they use Evolve sized bushings (0.4" roadside).
Ordered - thanks for the help.

hi @RipTideSports

i got 4wd carvons on a hummie deck
65kg
currently using barrels and the turning just feels weird (dunno how to explain)
the standard bushing for them is a different shape and the bushing seat is much smaller
what can you recommend for them?
thanks a lot

found the stock bushings and they are really small and cone shaped
not quite sure what bushings to replace them with

you could get… cones krank formula?

maybe in the low 80A range?

not sure exactly what height they are (short street / street / longboard / tall series) and what A to get

on my longboard 93A rear and 90A front was good but that was a very different style ride

Interesting how much you weigh?

50degrees front and 30 rear (i use chubby barrel at the back and fatcone barrel at the front)

its setup for high speed though (no wobbles at 40mph+)

Just to let everyone know we are in the process of moving and it is not going as planned so we are working on fixing all of that which leaves very little time to be here right now. My sincere apologies!

ditto

i got a mitutoyo vernier last fall
despite it only being 150mm, i’ve used it for measuring pretty much everything i need measured

one of my absolute favorite tools

Looking to upgrade the bushings in my boards that don’t have super long kingpins such as my modified meepo. It appears to use a barrel and some sort of fat cone, but I’m not sure if riptide classifies it as a street barrel/street fat cone or a regular barrel/regular fat cone.

to be more clear, they’re the same type of bushing that ship with caliber trucks.

Is this supposed to be a request or a statement lol

If it’s a real request you missed like 80% of the information

good point

question: what shape bushings do stock caliber trucks use?

As far as I’ve seen, usually it’s barrel on board side, cone on street side. But I think it differs depending on who is shipping the truck. It’s easy to tell by looking at specific ones though
