Did you get a 10mm aluminum spacer? That looks like you put the spacer between the truck and the truck adapter which isn’t right. The 270mm version needs a 6900 bearing not a 608 bearing and it rides on the axle.
I have two of the spaces but they are not installed at the moment. (This specific spacer has to be between the gear and wheel which gets installed after the box i believe)
It might be the wrong bearing but then mine sits on the axle. Maybe somehow I could show you it via video chat like on (Instagram?)
From truck to end of axle it goes:
Truck adapter
6900 bearing
Wheel adapter/big gear assembly
O-ring
Case
10mm ID spacer
Wheel
Axle nut
Exactly how I have it installed.
Looks like you have an 8mm bearing in there, has to be a 10mm.
Ahhhh then this is whats causing the issue, the axel at the end is 8mm.
I need some more of those too I can order some for us.
So I installed a 10mm bearing and the box closes well but the bearing is too big for the axle.
(Looks like I need some slimmer 8mm bearings) right is 10mm bearing and left 8mm bearing that wouldn’t let the box close
Yo I made it work.
One last question hopefully.
Is it ok to have the bolts on the wheel side? The two middle ones.
Thank you, that’s exactly what I needed
Paris/Randall will not help. The geometry of the baseplate that adds wheelbase(compared to BN/Cal) works against clearance for motors.
china go brrrrrr
ooh baby, i like it raw
(sounds less gear’yish with load)
Turn this into bullet points and post it on the product page. This is a very good explanation.
Damn that is just beautiful, I’ll have some videos of mine up very soon. Just waiting on my dremel in the mail.
Is your old adjustable base (not the new ones you just announced) having problems hitting the base plates ?
