Yes. Soon-ish I think. I personally love the way these straight-cut sound. Really nice whine-up when accelerating.

Keep in mind these have maybe 3 miles on them. Im sure they will quiet down a bit once broken in.

Yeah I’ve ridden a broken-in pair, and they sound fantastic. Sounds like an electric porsche lol

He’ll hopefully be back this year (email from 6 oct)

I got my bergs second hand from this forum, but i’ve seen people 3dprint hubs too, some tough nylon will do the job used with aliexpress tyres

Those sound amazing

They sound a bit rough when free spinning under no load. They sound a lot better when they’re actually being ridden. Also, they do break in and the noise becomes slightly more “refined”

@Boardnamics i see on your site it says helical drives will be coming out in December - Anything you can share about what the pricing will be like?

Around $30 more than the originals across the board. Metal on metal.

Wow that’s amazing! - everyone else sells it as like a $100 addon without the steel gears!

How did you manage to get the price down so much?

Gives new meaning to “Ride the Lightning”. Lightning-powered murder boards, now with all-metal steel-on-steel gears :sunglasses:

Do you have a more exact date when the helicals will come and will we be able to just buy the cogs to upgrade from straight cut

I buy in a decent volume and design for cost reduction in mind. I’m also a single person “company” so I don’t need as high of margins.

@Halbj613 The helical gears can be purchased by themselves for $59.99 for a dual set. I do not have an exact date yet but sometime next month for sure.
