It’s not even that hard, just pick up a shitty spot welder and go at it!!

Look what arrived.

Time to set it up

So set up for this is a speed ring, and then the collet, hub goes on, another speed ring, and then nut.

One of my collets was too snug of a fit to slip on so I used speed rings and spacers with the nut to push the collet further in.

Very sexy.

I was thinking of ways to have the wires really sleek and route into the deck. It involves some… painful procedures.
Start off with a small hole

Gradually increase per 1mm.
And start filing. If only i had my mill at home.

Wires go in the baseplate, and through the riser, and goes into the deck cleanly.

Some shots of the wire routing. I’m pretty happy with this.

Aren’t you worried the metal will rub a hole into the phase wires? Or is it have a heavy radius?

Spray the wires red… then it will be less noticeable :joy:

The edges are heavily rounded so it’s all good

Does the red paint make the angry pixies move faster?

@spade not sure yet, have yet to hook it up and ride it.

@whaddys thank you! This is one of the builds i’m really proud of due to the amount of thinking i had to do for the deck, as well as making it from scratch.

@rey8801 The plan’s to make it look like a normal looking board!

Yeh got it. Do you have plan for the remote. Like super tiny one or what?

I made a mini remote mod made by @jaatis
So far it’s one of the smallest remotes out there so i’ll be going with this.

Yet the battery doesn’t fit?

Nope haha, i’ll use another battery for this. The Metroboard battery will go on another build because that deck is longer.

I originally designed this deck to take a 10s3p with the cells laid horizontally 15 pieces down, but the Metroboard battery was way too long, measuring 39cm lengthwise.

yeh I know the mod. I really like the thumb version. Well there is also the ring type remote, that will be even more slick :sunglasses:

So the front wheels I’m using will be the grey Boosted wheels. Dyed them black of course to match the sleeves.

Also sprayed the core to be the same cover as the anodized parts of the hub to match.

It’s almost there guys! Just a battery left and I should be good to go.

Also I ended up using another mini remote mod instead. This one is a thumb remote and has a much smaller size so I went for it. Smaller than my hand!
