the pros seem pretty obvious haha
don’t have to remember to bring a flashlight or recharge my headlights, and the energy usage from the lights is negligible

I used shredlights forever and still have them on my helmets, I found that I hated pulling them on and off the board and making sure I had the right mounts in my bag to make it work.
I’ve found, especially if based on cost, that wired in lights yield more output.
If your board is already heavy then weight won’t be a big factor, and adding lights and a buck converter is ~1/2lb or so
And the draw is so minimal that for me the trade off was worth it, I still have my shredlights, but gone are the days of hopping on and finding out your lights are dead
Hmmm. Thanks for the feedback. Do you know how much more it needs? I designed the M3 ones without a real truck in hand
Just triple the thickness of it from what it was.
You could add 4mm and give the set screws something meaty to hold against and still use the same hardware. Currently it strips out before you can tighten it down sufficiently.
I put a wrap of tape on it to hold the position then forgot about it I should have mentioned it a while back sorry. It just didn’t come back to mind until now
Oh shoot wow haha I thought you were saying the opposite. I didn’t know those holes were so shallow. If you get the chance, an approximate measurement would be great. Otherwise I’ll just guess.

New product added on the website! Trying to offload some stock that has been sitting around for a while. Essentially, QC rejects from when I test the lights before sending them out to people.
These are coming in very cheap at $24 a pair with no mounts or anything. They are perfectly fine to use but don’t offer the full amount of functionality that the proper ones do. If you only use white anyway, you’re basically unaffected by this testing failure.
Check out the bargain bin lights here:
I have not added a category for these yet in the main website but you can access them from the lighting page. If you do want to buy truck mounts or whatever, you can find those in the accessories section.
3 Sets of white OR yellow now sold out
If I end up testing more and finding more rejects I’ll post them in that listing
Hay man… do you have mounts to suit the newbee rtkp? The profile is almost identical to airs, they slipped right on but the angle is all wrong for incoming traffic and anything in a tree nearby… haha… I’ve not been using them but it’s warming up so night rides will be a thing
Yep I do, I made some for them when I mounted them on my board, specifically for them.
I’m also starting work on a duality mount (also nearly the same as apex air ones but different hanger angle)
Niiice… Not listed so how do I pry them out of your hands and into a box headed for Australia?
Haha… crap . Looked under lights. BRB.
They are there also to be fair, but the list is quite long so I don’t blame you for not find them. Gotta scroll.
In any case, it’s just going to get longer. Working on the Duality mounts as we speak
Do these need an inline fuse? I was going to wire them into the existing Lacroix Sentinel output , and there doesn’t appear to be an existing one? Thx
I’m sure if you wanted to, a fuse could be added. The max I’ve ever seen is only about 2a for both lights, it will vary depending on what voltage they are fed.
Usually about 15w per light though.
In terms of needing one, no they don’t need one, you just plug em in and they pull what they want
2 more Pairs of White OR Yellow Only added to the site!
I’m going to need to order more stock soon, interested in hearing the opinion of the forum peoples:
I’m not sure how most people use them, on my boards, I run them all with Yellow+White because I think it looks coolest that way.
Then why not list that as an option?
I’d say both for high beams and just white for low beams would be good. Maybe both for high and just yellow for low?
Oh because this is built in, you just solder the wires together
