correct, A couple of bolts also looks to be stripped (not from me, good chance it wasn’t skyart, he got the board in with some questionable decisions already made by the previous owner. I have no clue how I’m going to get the stripped bolts out though, I cant get any tools into there.
I know it’s a bit of a pain, but you can always mail me the drive train and I can figure it out and make sure it doesn’t happen again. DM me if you want to go this route, or swing by the shop when I am back in town
Wanted to get some second opinions, motors started making a high pitched whine at full duty cycle. Nothing’s changed set up wise, it just showed up. Sounds perfectly fine at lower duty cycles, and it’s not the Flipsky whine either because that wasn’t this loud before. Maybe it lost parameters or something? Honestly not sure. Flipsky 6374s on uBox V1.
iirc its a normal thing
It’s definitely new on this setup, I’ve run it at max in the past and I’ve never gotten anything this shrill. If anything it actually quieted down past ~80% after it passes that resonance phase.
You can play with the switching frequency to change how that sounds.
Motor → FOC → Advanced → Zero Vector Frequency
With “Sample in V0 and V7” set to false, an acceptable range is 20 to 60. With it set to true, up to 30. 25+ starts to sound good for my setup.
What would cause it to suddenly change though? That’s my main concern because I haven’t touched the VESC configuration in over a year.
I’ve tried, started by using a wera hex driver and got nowhere, moved to a hex set, and got a couple. A couple is just too stripped.
When they get stripped like that you can tap a torx driver into them and use that to remove it
after undo the axle nut, the wheel doesn’t come off?
Nope, Its held on by the bolts in the back. I don’t really know how to get it off, I can’t get any tools in there and the bolts are super stuck and super stripped,
which gear drive are those?
3dserisas Fatboy, I forget which version but its an older one.
bruh pretty much all 3ds gear drive are called fatboy
but can’t u just undo the 5 bolts of the wheel hub and release it from the gear drive mounting plate?
I didnt buy the drivetrain and i cant rember what its called. This is what it looks like, i have tried to pull it off but its definitely held on by the 5 in the back.
I dont know if this means it was installed wrong but the bolts are on the opposite side and there is no way im getting a tool in there
Drill
Seems a little risky to drill it out, I don’t want to buy a new drivetrain. Or do you mean to try to use a drill instead of a hand tool? If the latter, there is no way to fit a drill in there with how deep it is.
Could you elaborate, please? I have no idea what I’m doing.
