this is the chip on the BMS if anyone is interested or familiar with it
would they be of any use for a spotwelder?
in 3-4S
@Scepterr I feel like you would have to do at least 2P for spot welding. Just because they are low amp output rated cells.
Capacity update?
lol last update was 16min agoā¦
3.93v 12.5 Ah now
@Scepterr my bad lol. When I look at the comment it said 1hr. My prediction/estimate is 20.1 ah on the dot
lol yeah I edited it with the update
chargewise Iām assuming like 16Ah, it wasnt empty to start with, 3.5v
What is the weight of the pack?
@Halbj613 20lbs total for the pack
12s1p weighs 13.6lbs
just the cells
I missed this earlier, but did you guys catch that these cells donāt get thermal runaway? itās in all the docs
STOBA Ā® is ITRIās proprietary battery safety material. A li-ion battery system embedded with STOBA Ā® provides multi-protective mechanism and enhances the performance for electronic devices. In addition to inhibiting thermal runaway effectively, it also inhibits the effectiveness against self-discharge induced by minor short circuits. The STOBA Ā® -inside battery is superior to other high-safety batteries, which already passes stringent nail tests and can lower heat generation from battery material tremendously.
Talked my buddy into buying one of these last night for an ebike. @Scepterr from what you can tell, will I be good just tapping into the pack+ and pack- pins, and ignoring the pins in the middle? Or should I plan on busting this bad boy open and wiring my own BMS in?
Iām not sure if full current discharge is possible directly, thereās something on the machine side it plugs into that āactivatesā discharge on the BMS, might just need a resistor across 2 pins
to plug in another BMS is SUPER simple, just plug in balance lead to new BMS and transfer B-, B+
assuming pin direction and pitch is the same,if not just repin
Gotchya, thanks for the pictures! Do you have any plans to poke around and test the built in BMS for us lazy folks?
yeah when the next batch of these come Iāll play with the bms
where do you guys see the inventory levels on the website?
All I see is dropdown from 1, 2, 3⦠10+ on the product page
so after glancing at the BMS IC schematics, Iām pretty sure I know how to enable dischargeš
@murdomeek try adding to cart
