Battery Clearing House SV-BA10 13s 20Ah Battery

I was planning on using a DC to dc booster to charge mine.

I have one that goes up to “120V”

I could do that too but for the purposes of testing I wanna be able to monitor usage and that’ll screw it up

I won’t be surprised if it’s 18-19Ah

That is actually really impressive if this cell really can prove itself 2p would be awesome

indeed, size is really the issue with using them on boards unless you’re making a brick or lining the bottom of a trampa

For a large top mounted board could be good or for someone who want to take the parallel groups apart and rearrange it

How tall is each parallel group

that’s each cell

K could be arranged to be an under board battery in something like a lacroix or something else like an evo enclosure

you would want 12s2p to get 90A discharge, it’s gonna be heavy

12s1p weighs 13.6lbs
just the cells

Still awesome

Maybe 3p/4p half bottom mounted and half top mounted

did you see the 2Kwh 16S Volvo battery they had on hookup for $199? lot more energy dense, higher discharge, still was $100/kwh not free shipping tho.

They seemed great for a MTB with 16S esc’s or if you could tear some cells out and make it a 12S.

Wish someone on here had grabbed one.

nope didn’t see that, I wouldn’t have gotten it though. for energy storage discharge needed is minimal, you want more wh/$ than discharge

yeah just saying how much better it would be for a MTB than this pack.

@Halbj613 keep an eye out I’m hoping for more interesting automotive batteries that should have good energy density because ya know EV’s need that.

plus coming from a brand like Volvo, BMW you know it should be well made and have good quality components I think.

if they are retired packs, I would assume 70-80% capacity

Cell Test Update:
3.88v, 12.1Ah in

@Scepterr hopefully the seller on the phone was right. He said they were brand new, not retired or used packs. That’s making the capacity look good so far

I was referring to the Volvo packs

Not sure what I’m going to do with the caps yet. Possibly make a boost pack and see if it does anything for a longboard. Otherwise just hoard for future project
