sorry for the delay, got more in
here’s how to enable discharge
it also enables the charge port
just short the first 2 pins from negative
I wonder how you figured this out lol
Lol I read the bms ic schematics
You so smart! Much wow. Amaze!
Why does it enable both at once? That’s kinda odd to me, why would you then even deactivate them?
Normally the bms is sitting in an always on-low power mode till activated, it’s possible it’s native charger can activate the charge port only, since it has a 3rd pin wired, but I haven’t investigated that, turning both on at once is good enough for me
That’s good to know. Check all the packs you received, one of mine came with a bad cell :-/ and at 42.9v. All other cells were at 3.4. Waiting on a reply from battery clearing house.
ouch, all mine were fine
curious if the BMS did that
@Scepterr I honestly just have bad luck with batteries. Same thing happened with my orders from battery hookup when others get all good packs. (Got 23 packs of their 9s ATL cells and 12 came completely DOA). Hopefully it’s not the BMS
I did charge that cell up to 3.4v at .08 amps so I’ll see if it discharges. Don’t feel safe to use that cell long term though
Do you have a charger that you would recommend with this pack?
I’ve got a DPS8005 on the way I’ll be using to charge, 5A is kinda slow on a 20Ah pack but good enough
I was going to use a booster as well. I’m prepared to wait a whole day for a charge hahaha.
it’s a stepdown, not booster
What do you power it with? you have some high V bench power supplies?
My crap amazon one does 19V max it’s silly
I’ll be powering it from a 60v 8a supply
I got it!
The fuel gauge says 1 green light
Is this what your’s were at?
@Scepterr @Mr.Electronicist
@Fosterqc 3 of mine had one light, which was 3.5v Each cell. 2 others had 2 bars so like 3.7v and 1 came with one red light, 12 cells 3.4v and one cell 1.4v. Waiting for a reply on that last one because it has a bad cell
@Fosterqc are we neighbors?! Just got my buddy’s a second ago too.
One green light, 46.0v for those who are wondering. Going to see if I can dig out an XLR cable and put together a charger for this bad boi.
Once I get an integrated deck setup I’m excited to strap it to the top and go for an all day ride!
Anyone working on a model for a thing that will slot into the terminals? I think I could get my 3D printer working.
