can confirm 125lbs = scrawny fuck
No, it doesn’t, mine are the Bowery Surf ones.
I have no regrets i bought the boundmotor ones for 150, that price fits nearly 5 times in the torqueboards one and even when i have to work on it i dont mind :p. Also my drives came with a set screw bored in the can so maybe that helps too.
Can you pop up a photo up of this?
Its in the lofty discussion
Uphill… It goes but is not funny. No much torque. Good if you want to go to the grocery, but not for a funny ride
I’ve only put a few miles on it, keep testing, but probably go for the TB110 setup…
What’s the maximum offroad incline in ° or % that you can go up at say 10-20 km/h?
I’ll test this weekend
Do you get wheelbite? It looks like the front might if you turn too hard
No wheelbite at all
Today I’ve tested on a slope…
After 500m on a 15% slope (around 8°) it goes to a full stop
I have to test this weekend riding the TB110.
Here’s the screenshot of the Focbox UI HUD, no errors showed.
Thanks a lot for testing that - interesting! Was that an offroad/grass/dirt slope or on asphalt/street?
Asphalt road…
My settings are (12s3p 30q battery)
Battery 60a/-12a
Motors 80a/-60a
Does that mean that offroad e.g. on a grass slope it does not go up at all?
Seems much worse than I expected …
I would say not. Anyway I have to try a little more, it can be my configuration problem.
with the 110, it’s much more fun, you shall see
New test today. On 110’s I reached the top of the hill, really fast, without needing to go full throttle. Very, very powerful, and fun. About 1.5 kms, 15-20%.
On haggys, the motor not only stops, but it go to a FULL BREAK. Really dangerous. Listen to the sound at the end of the video.I didn’t fall because as I was testing the limits I was ready for whatever comes…
Now I’m worried if that could happen again sometime on my definitive configuration of TB110 wheels. Someone knows what happened there??
Current state:
BMS limit. 60amps from 38secs to 48secs = 10 secs at 60amps. BMS turned off = fail safe.
At least that’s what I think it is. You can see power drops on the app too.
There was no full brakes applied - I don’t think. It was jus no power = no momentum. Especially, uphill. You’ll feel it more.
Thanks for your reply @torqueboards!
Actually it was break, not just loss of power, you can listen the sound of the breaks at the end of the video.
Also, I’m using a charge only BMS and the 60A discharge limit is set on the Unity. But it could be that I’m reaching the max discharge limit of 3p 30q cells for too long… I’ll test again setting 45 A as max discharge
